Very old school esque dungeon crawler RPG. If you played any of the SMT game you have an idea of what to expect where you get more powerful by fusing monsters. Overall not a bad game to kill some time but dont' expect anything groundbreaking.

Waste no time with a backstory, waste no time on melodrama, you have one night to get this done. Grab a pocket knife, down a bowl of ramen, grab some of the locals who know how to brawl, and end the curse. Wake up Samurai, we have a Witch to slay. Probably about twenty or less hours for a playthrough, Arcana [Equip-able monsters that determine skills, resistances, weaknesses, etc.] that can be equipped to influence builds, with each character having particular elements or damage types they excel in, and different strains of Arcana that follow particular archetypes, the game is your classic SMT style dungeon crawler without the metaphysics narrative. Of course, the cons being that the story is simple and the characters are about as in depth as you'd expect to get from a single night being stuck in a cursed town together, but it works well enough. In any other game, Rin would be the main character, as she has all of the personal ties to the plotline, she is the one with the tragic bac...

This is a great game. I don't love how many "random" encounters there are but I understand that was a thing during the era this game is based off of. Everything else about the game is amazing. Haven't finished it yet but I plan to. Would love to see them build on this and make more games that are similar.
