This game is a metroidvania that uses musical tones for unlocking doors, passages, and secrets. The art is very good, but the rest is quite lacking. The main point in favor of this game is the great art. The art style and different locales are quite nice. However, I do have one issue with the graphics - they tend to change between very zoomed in or zoomed out or somewhere in-between, which can be quite jarring. But overall, the art is one of the main reasons I continued playing this game, despite all of its shortcomings. Now for the cons: The story for this game is minimal and non-sensical. The first game was about making friends and stuff. This game, the first thing the main character does is pull out a sword and shield (even though they live in modern times) and starts putting down creatures with no remorse. You go through worlds inside books (no explanation), do quests for inhabitants (why they're not considered monsters, who knows), talk to guardians (why are they there and what...
