About This Game

Outwit gravity, race the clock, explore new worlds.

Crashed lander is a gravity-based arcade game inspired by classics like Lunar Lander and Space Taxi. You've built a janky craft out of propane tanks and spare parts. Pilot it from pad to pad trying to beat your best time – then flirt with that fine line between speed and control.

If you’re brave enough to try Hard Mode you’ll be flopping around like a QWOPy, low gravity turtle. With a little practice you’ll be zippin' around doin' barrel rolls. You’ll see sites from the cutting edge of fractal mathematics – bizarre, organic shapes, arcane archaeological digs, and all manner of WTFderful alien vistas. Each level is a hand-crafted environment that encourages the player to explore - and goof around! You can also pilot your lander in virtual reality with your Rift, Vive, or other SteamVR compatible headset.

  • 25 levels to conquer and explore in pad Hopper mode
  • 25 levels in Ring Runner mode - fly through custom courses
  • Play in VR. Works on monitors plus Rift, Vive, and other SteamVR headsets.
  • Full (xbox 360) controller support
  • Hidden collectibles on every level
  • Earn stars and track your progress through all 50 levels
  • An hour of spacey, glitch-hop music - mp3's included!
  • Achievements and Global Leaderboards.
  • Windows, OSX, and Linux!

Version 3.1 is available now with better performance, improved VR support, new options menu, new tutorial, and a first person camera mode.

Crashed Lander was part of the first wave of VR games on Steam. Original released for the Oculus Rift DK1, and updated eleventy-hundred times as VR grew and headsets advanced. This is a 3rd person VR view with lots of camera motion, it might make some people uncomfortable. There is no support for motion controls, a gamepad or keyboard/mouse is required.

It's rather barebones but it's charming in its simplicity and has quite a few challenges to master if you enjoy that Pilotwings style gameplay of landing and going through hoops while you rocket your way through the levels as fast as you can for record times. Visually the game has some interesting scenarios to plunge through with your propane powered piece of panzer so there's that to look forward to.

Nice game, there are about 50 different level which include jumping from platform to platform or flying through rings. If you have a dk2, you can consider buying this game, although 5 Euro is no that cheap for a simple game like that, plus it is a little nauseating for me. Still, props to the developer .

For anyone who likes the idea of a 3D Lunar Lander, I can recommend this game. The objective is to pilot your small spacecraft / drone through different environments and land it on all of the landing pads of each level as quickly as possible. The challenge is that you have to deal with gravity, environmental hazards, and landing pads that are sometimes camouflaged or obscured. Similar to the original Atari Lunar Lander, there isn't any combat and you don't ferry any cargo. The environments you pilot your ship through are varied and imaginative, and you can further challenge your flying skills by flying through rings in a type of challenge mode. There is also a ‘hard’ mode that basically makes flying your ship a much more manual and hands-on process, as well as hidden objects to find throughout the game. For the modest asking price, there is a good amount of content. It doesn’t take too long to see everything, but a lot of the fun comes from the challenge of completing levels as...

Wasn't sure about this game from all the bad reviews, but it's quite the changeup from most VR games out there. VR actually adds to the depth of the gameplay as you can better see the terrain and navigate your vehicle through the 360 labyrinth as fast as possible. Your vehicle will explode if it takes too much damage. I wish there was a way to know how much damage your vehicle has taken though. It seems as soon as it starts smoking, it's about to explode. I do recommend this game, especially if you can get it at the current sale price of $2.49. There's lots of levels to get stars in (like mobile games), but each level is pretty unique (some levels look the same, but have different challenges in them). It runs smoothly and the different languages added make it quite unique (even the credits are done interestingly). I played this game with xbox controller on Oculus Rift and I had zero problems. Ran very smoothly. Rating 7/10 considering the value here

Lunar Lander 3D, nuff said! ....but wait there's more! Whimsical charm, silly atmosphere, and enjoyable piloting! Even a QWOP-ish hard mode.
