Whether you play as the legendary general or against him, the outcome of war can never be guaranteed. The course of history relies on your ability to lead your troops through the most intense battles as never seen before in a Total War game.
About The Peninsular Campaign
The Peninsular Campaign is an independent campaign based on the conflict in the Spanish Peninsula between 1811 and 1814. It was during this era that the Spanish resistance gave their style of fighting its name: Guerrilla, or the “little war”.
Play the campaign from three different perspectives, each with a unique feel:
• The French fight to keep resistance at bay while converting regions to their political alignment.
• The British are very limited for regions at the start but receive enough income from Northern Europe and North America that they can afford to liberate regions back to the Spanish in return for Guerrilla aid.
• The Spanish also have a limited starting position but have permanent access to Guerrillas for effective battlefield use against the French.
Choose one of the three nations involved - France, Great Britain or Spain - and experience one of the most intense conflicts of the Napoleonic era.
Key Features:
• A new and independent Iberian Peninsula campaign map featuring 32 controllable regions.
• 5 new Guerrilla unit types, recruitable by all nations, adept at battlefield stealth and with the added ability to deploy outside of their faction's deployment zones: Tiradores (Skirmisher Infantry), Cazadores, Lanceros (Lancer Cavalry), Husares (Light Cavalry), Leader (General).
• 28 new units in total, spread across the three playable nations including the British 95th Rifles, the French Vistula Uhlans and the Spanish Coraceros Espanoles.
• Two new agents to enforce political conversion:
• Provocateurs (French and British nations only) have the ability to promote anti-opposition sentiment in regions, incite unrest, decreases turn time for research and passively spy.
• Priests (Spanish and Portuguese nations only) have the ability to promote anti-opposition sentiment in regions and incite unrest.
• A new Guerrillero agent for the Spanish nation: similar to a Spy but with the new ability to Harass enemy armies - lock them in place for a turn and cause them attrition.
• Political Alignment system which sees the French battle to increase pro-French sentiment throughout the peninsula.
About Coalition Battle Pack
The Coalition Battle Pack features 6 brand new units and contains the Battle of Friedland fought between France and Russia.
The Battle of Friedland (14 June, 1807) with Napoleon's empire at its height, he took a chance and defeated Russia in detail, knocking them out of the war and bringing the Fourth Coalition to an end.

User Reviews
this game is the best graphic experience I've ever had with an overview/sandbox game its truly a masterpiece. For being over 14 years old it still has a packed game experience. It does have quite a few bugs after not being updated for so long a few of thos bugs include horse units going around in circles which is quite annoying when your right in front of an enemy unit. another bug issue is when your playing a siege mode and send a damaged unit that hasn't broke yet down the stairs from the wall parts they all pile up and die at the bottom. other then that this game is truly magnificent and I would highly recommend playing it.
I have been playing this game for 10 Years now and now I have purchased it and its the best thing I have done, I felt immense guilt for Pirating this game for 10 years and it was my dream to buy this game, This game has carried my life trough high school and removing my boredom, I highly insist in people to try out this game, for me its the best Historical game for me.
there's nothing we can do...
Game Still Crashes
War, lands, people, negotiations, lines of men dying for your empire above all , its is nothing yet everything. - don't auto resolve and you will be a 60 star general. - total game breaker - no arty , no cav, just have 1 general and an entire line of fusiliers, you will sweep the enemy from the map, followed by milltia to hold regions and commit to a full sweep of an enemy empire in 2 turns. - this game showed me numbers beat firepower every time. - if all your ranged infantry somehow die or get beaten, line up all miltia , and put another set of line miltia exactly where the others are , overwhelming fire will break any line infantry coming your way. - use buildings for defending from cav, beware frontline buildings of arty. fusiliers are broken, good range, most line fires front and back rendering cav usless, and defense is op, put the trip mines and there goes the enemy units, hold them in the cities, the buildings blowing up all around them before they get to...
This is almost as good as Empire Total War. Almost. The problem here is that ETW has a grander sense of scale and is more dynamic. This game feels more... Languid.
I made one mistake in my life: I should have burnt Berlin But fr get in on it
