you need the right crowd for this - careful with randoms. but with the right friend group and a little prep, it can produce some good times.

About This Game

In Guilty as Sock!, it’s a free-for-all with your friends! The prosecutor throws wild accusations, and with your evidence cards, you’ll either defend yourself or roast the accused. The judge? Just trying (and probably failing) to keep things under control as chaotic lawyers yell their way to victory.

Lawyer or prosecutor? Grab your evidence cards and twist the story to your advantage!

Want to throw your opponent off their game? Talk over them, toss paper balls, mock them—whatever it takes to sway the verdict in your favor! Chaos is the law here.

As the judge, you control the courtroom—give the floor, punish unruly lawyers, and toss out any evidence you find suspicious (or just ridiculous). Whether you deliver a fair verdict or go full rogue, it’s all in your hands! Will justice prevail? Meh… probably not.

WITNESS – Supports prosecution or defense by providing key facts that can sway the trial.
BAILIFF – Keeps order with tools to subdue unruly players.
JOURNALIST – Can publish up to 3 breaking news articles per trial, usable as evidence.
JUROR – Votes guilty or not guilty via buzzers and draws doodles on their slate.
These roles add chaos, strategy, and humor to every courtroom session!

First off, the concept is super cute and fun. However, any fun to be had is marred by the many other players who take the opportunity to be racist, sexist and plain disgusting. Yes, there are filters, but they do little to help the issue of inappropriate behavior. I'm not a prude. Edgy jokes can be funny. But an entire case on graping cats? Dropping the n-word left and right? It takes the fun outta the experience and becomes tiring. 10/10 will be playing with friends. -1000/10 will join other games.
PLEASE DO NOT SUGGEST THIS GAME TO YOUR FRIENDS, YOU WILL BE MADE FUN OF BECAUSE THERE IS NO GUIDANCE. NOT ONLY THAT BUT AFTER A LONG DAY OF WORK YOU WILL SIT DOWN TO PLAY GAMES AND THEN EVEN YOUR WIFE WILL MAKE FUN OF YOU.
It's basically a glorified voice chat with minor role play elements. Granted if you play with friends it could be funny, but even then I just cant see why you would play this game over the myriad of other games you could play that would be more fun to play. Skip this game, it is not worth the money.
No viable fun unless you have a lot of players. and good luck getting your friends to pay for a voice chat with extra steps.
It's fun and stupid exactly how fun and stupid your friends are. Does exactly what it says, gives an opportunity to make up stories and jokes in a weird context. You can also write your own set of "evidence" and use it if you want to customize it a bit more.
People giving bad reviews just can't handle it. Game is fun, but you do need to either have a lot of friends or find the right people to play with, that is the difference between a good time and a bad time in this.
YMMV: Played this game several times over a few days with different people. I have not returned to it since the week of release, and none of the ~10 people I played it with have ever suggested playing it again. I believe this game could have been vastly improved if there was also a bank of some pre-written prompts for the case itself. The pre-written cards that come up during game play were a bit repetitive- in the few times I played, I saw several repeats. I know you can write your own custom cards, but to my memory, you have to write a LOT of them (I don't believe you can just write up a few and have them shuffled in with the standard deck). I played with people who are very witty, enjoy role-playing, are very creative, and were super excited to play this game. Like I said, not a single one of us have returned to it (or even mentioned it) since release. It also felt like there was very little to do if you were in any position other than judge, defendant, or prosecutor. We'd hoped ...
The game gets boring pretty quickly, even with a full court. There's a lot of features and things the people in the court room can do, but none of them are really relevant or helpful. There's just no real structure to this and honestly just sitting in a vc and talking is more fun.
Somewhat fun but my god there is no content in this. There's like 20 really simple cards and witnesses that don't even really work for anything but setpieces. Somewhat fun, but 90% of the fun is your friends, not the game. It's a virtual environment and not much of a game really. Gmod gives you the same thing but with infinitely more customization - and a lot more fun to be honest. 2/5 (Okay)
