About This Game

Welcome to Firefly Village! As its newest arrival, discover the joy of a simple, rural life, where there's no rush, no deadlines to meet, no arbitrary demands to fulfill, just you, a plot of land, and wholesome neighbors to meet, make friends, and become a part of this tight-knit community.

With 4-minute days and 7-day seasons, you’ll experience clear progression without the overwhelming tasks. Whether it’s the satisfying pluck of a harvest or the gentle splash of fishing, every action is crafted to bring joy - all at your own pace!

Firefly Village is built around streamlined gameplay, allowing you to relax and enjoy each passing day while tending to your little plot of land, meeting interesting people, or just watching the land flourish as the seasons pass - free of the pressure of conventional farming games.

🦋 Build a Cozy Life: There's no mass farming in Firefly Village. This small, loving community focuses on intentional farming, with a diversity of crops and livestock, living in calm harmony with the land.

🌱 Relax and Enjoy: Enjoying your time at the farm, instead of grinding your time away. Crops grow quickly, animals don't require much, and you can simply take a break, go fishing, mine some ores, or meet the neighbors, without worrying that something will break in the meantime.

✨ Streamlined and Polished: Every system has been designed to make it pleasant, rather than frustrating, focusing on moments of joy that everyday farm work brings: Harvesting crops, catching fish, mining ores and simply tending the land and watching it bloom.

🕰️  Easy to Pick Up and Put Down: Whether you just want to pass away a few minutes watching your crops grow or kick back for an evening and get to know the community of Firefly Village, there is no stress or arbitrary goals you must fulfill. This is your homestead and you enjoy it however you like.

I absolutely hate that steam doesn't have a middle ground option. I don't like giving negative reviews when I feel a game has potential, which this one absolutely does - so don't read my review and just write it off. Just there are a lot of things about the game that make it, in my opinion, unenjoyable to play. First, the game starts off in a completely different language. No idea what is being said, what I'm supposed to read or what. Then suddenly it switches to english? I'm incredibly confused by this. Second, the inability to use your mouse at ALL while playing was irritating. And playing it on steam deck I absolutely couldn't figure out how to open my inventory. Controls are janky. The walking/turning is painful to say the least. The game animations and movements do NOT feel smooth at all and it kind of breaks the immersion for me when I'm constantly rolling my eyes at the way my character walks past something fifty times before finally turning the right way. Bag inventory is t...

Okay, I'm really torn between a thumbs-up and thumbs-down on this one, but I'm giving it the thumbs up because I do appreciate the hard work that one developer puts into something like this AND it really doesn't lie about what it's giving you. First the good: It's cute, it's another Stardew clone, and it's inexpensive. The develop labels this as a simplified life sim and that's precisely what it is, simplified. If you like Stardew Valley but think it's too big, there are too many NPCs, too many collectibles, too much to do, then you may enjoy this game. Needs improvement: It's TOO simplified. You're going to start to feel pretty boxed in quickly as there's really only 4 exterior "areas" and some caves. Only a small handful of NPCs to befriend. Just 6 plots of land to plant your crops on, only a few bugs and fish each season. You'll open up cooking once you expand the house, but it still feels pretty useless in the grand scheme of things. The controls are wonky at best, you'l...

Farming Sim Goodness, compressed, distilled, and in a neat, tightly designed package. This is all the fun of a regular, addictive loop of farming, fishing, mining, logging, and socializing, reaching mid and long-term goals, and being part of a charming community in a much more convenient package than the likes of Rune Factory or Stardew Valley. It's great if you're burnt out from spreadsheet simulators or the drive to optimize, as the game has 7 day seasons, low-maintenance animals, and very fast days, with an option for shorter, more relaxed ones. It obviously has passion and love put into it, and it's very reasonably priced, too.

Really enjoying the game so far in the first few hours I've played! It includes familiar elements from some other popular farming sims while adding new aspects that make it feel like a fresh addition to the genre. Definitely recommend, especially given the very reasonable price point!

It's cute, cozy and fun. If you're looking for a grind this isn't the game. It's fun just running around the limited map though, picking up forage, fishing, gifting villagers, etc. You can get farm animals, who require very little maintenance, and crops grow quickly. My favorite festival so far is the egg fest, cause I can run around and collect every egg (even though I only need 20 my OCD needs to get them ALL lol). Can't do that in Stardew. So it's nice to be able to do that. This game is perfect for when I want to play something simple, cute, and fun.

I'm finding it pretty relaxing and enjoyable so far. The controls can be slightly clunky at times, mostly the movements when farming, but nothing major.

Its a great game, but due to its bite-sized nature, you'll end up wanting more content towards the end of your playthrough. I definitely still do think its worth the money though! The characters are great, the game isn't stressful, and the dev was quick to fix bugs. I think he deserves the support

Fun farming sim that reminds me of Half-Minute Heroes. The rapid pace of the days makes it oddly compelling.
