I remember loving the flash game version over a decade ago when I was just a young child. How time flies. The remake is good.
Clearing out my backlog, this P&C adventure game really shows its age with poor fast-travel, a horrendous inventory system (so glad I picked up that fish on the second screen that serves no purpose except cluttering up my inventory; I get the joke but it's still irritating) and highlights based on mouse-overs that lead to you wildly swooping over every room to make sure you don't miss something. All that and an incredibly obtuse puzzle at the very end that explains what it wants but not how to do it (do you enter the "off" symbols before or after the thing you want turned on/off?). But all could be forgiven if the writing and VA is good. Reader, it is not. We get two people who are not friends, are in fact openly antagonistic, unprofessional and above all seem irritated that they are even here. It's a bold directoral choice for two astronauts who are professionals selected to travel to interstellar destinations. The main character, Powell, is a particular lowlight, someone who seems ...
