I wished this game had more content. I was having a good time and expecting more variety when I beat it. I was expecting more levels. Not sure if I can recommend.l as is. It has great ideas but doesn’t develop them. Beating the game was repetitive and not enjoyable.

First, let me get it out of the way: the gameplay is great, that’s not why I’m giving it a negative review, But I don’t want to sit here and rant about all of the things this game does wrong. I think the core idea is amazing… it’s just needs a little bit more polish. Starting with the positives. Music is amazing, as of right now I love it and hopefully I won’t get tired of it. The gameplay is also amazing. the usual survivors-like formula is plagued with the “kite enemies in circles” movement and this games pac-man structure adds an extra layer of depth (even if it is just running in circles but different). Now, onto the negatives: first, enemy variety. There are 2 enemies in the entire game (3 if you count the boss). One of them is super easy to dodge, the other phases through walls and will be the only one to hit you. I only played Enough to unlock 2/4 of the stages, and to my knowledge they have the same enemies. The last two stages might be different, but I doub...
Just put the mice in the maze, man.
This one is sort of like if Vampire Survivors kissed Pac-Man on his big, stupid mouth. I'm sitting in the corner watching to see what the developer comes up with next.
This has been my favorite "chill out for 15 minutes" game for the last few weeks, if I ever feel like I need to de-stress or rest for a bit I can always hop in, try a round or few and have a good time. Definitely recommend!!
Maze Mice is a survivors-like game meshed together with Pac-man. You move about a maze collecting XP orbs being chased by cats, and as you level up you improve your skills just like in any other survivors-like to kill the boss. Enemies only move when you do, so you don't need to stress about making quick decisions. Your mouse can have up to 4 weapon skills, and 4 support skills, and they can all be leveled up a various amount of times. At the end of 10 minutes of gameplay, a big spooky ghost cat boss appears, and upon killing it you win the run (and can choose to play endless if so desired). The core gameplay concept is sound. Its a pretty engaging gameplay loop. And yet, I am not reccomending this game. The big problem with the game is that it has next to no depth. There are a grand total of two enemy types (and 1 boss) throughout the entire game. There are 4 maps, all which largely play the same. There are many skills, most of which all play the same. Like, there's one support u...
It's really neat but can't say it im addicted to it like some of its peers. I never feel terribly strong or that ive had "a good run" sadly and not much enemy or boss variety.Would have been neat even if it was just aesthetics. All that said The Pacman style gameplay is fun and engaging not sure ill 100% it definitely will play a few rounds here and there
Yeah this game is sort of half baked. The idea is cool with the whole nothing moves if you don't move, but everything else is about as bare bones as they come. The different levels are terrible and you'll find yourself going back to the first one a lot. The different mice are all the same with just a different starting skill, but nothing else. There are 3 total characters in the game who have slightly different colors to indicate they are tanky or not and there's only 1 boss character that I've seen thus far. That's all bad, but the worst is the lack of banishes or skips in the game too as the item pool is just saturated with items that are just really bad and you can only equip 4 weapons and 4 artifacts in a run. I got this as I liked the idea and really enjoy luck be a landlord, but they stepped into something I don't think they really understand and it didn't make for a very good game. I wouldn't recommend this for anything over $2-3 unless there is a major patch rework in th...
TL:DR; A pretty good start, and an interesting blend of genre's. A bit too content light for my liking. I wasn't expecting a turn-based pac-man inspired survivors-roguelike to exist, but here we are. Its definitely interesting playing a game in this genre that is entirely taken on your own time. It makes a lot of sense considering how as the game gets harder you WILL have to plan your movement more carefully, but its also a slightly less twitchy and stressful take on the idea. I'm not fond of the clashing art styles, mainly on the main selection screens. you went to all the effort of having all this good low-rez pixel art made and then you clutter it with high def drawings and clean minimal lined boxes? I think its a mistake in these styles of games to only give you one starting class, and also not let you know how many others there are. It makes the start of the game feel worrying content empty to new players and also forces me to play a certain style to get anywhere that I might ...
