Note: This is an honest, constructive, and unbiased review of the game. Nothing about the developer itself, how many hours were taken to develop this game, will be taken into account for this gameplay review. As always, it’s advisable to read high quality reviews and watch and review gameplay footage online before purchasing any game. I’ve played multiple horror games, including the most known ones such as Outlast, Outlast 2, Dead Space, FNAF, Dead by Daylight, Soma, Resident Evil, Slender Man: The Eight Pages, Granny etc., so I was looking forward to trying out new horror games. However, after playing this game for hours, I was utterly disappointed with the result of this game, which does not even come near the results of the top performing horror games on Steam. The game is incomplete and unfinished. There needs to be a lot more features than just exploring a corn maze with a semi-working flashlight and a compass. One major proponent the game is missing is being able to adjust ...

About This Game
Step into the eerie, twisting paths of The Corn Maze, a simple yet atmospheric adventure where finding your way out is only part of the challenge. Armed with a flickering flashlight and your wits, navigate the maze, manage your flashlight’s battery, and hunt for compasses to guide your way. But beware—something might be lurking in the shadows. Can you make it through the maze unscathed?
Key Features
Immersive Maze Exploration: Wander through a haunting corn maze with atmospheric sound and visuals. The maze's winding paths are designed to keep you on edge, while the eerie ambiance creates a tense, immersive experience. As you move deeper, the maze's environment reacts to your actions, adding a layer of unpredictability and mystery to each playthrough.
Resource Management: Your flashlight is your most important tool, but it has limited battery life. Players must search the maze for scattered batteries to keep the light shining. The decision to conserve your battery or use it strategically adds tension, as the darkness grows more dangerous without light. Manage your resources wisely, or risk losing your way in the dark.
Compass System: Hidden compasses scattered throughout the maze offer directional hints. They won’t give away your exact location but will guide you to key areas, helping you make your way toward the exit. Additionally, wooden stakes with numbers are placed throughout the maze, allowing you to track your progress and orient yourself, adding a subtle layer of navigation to the gameplay.
Dynamic Exploration and Hazardous Environment: The maze is alive with danger. The deeper you venture, the more unpredictable the maze becomes. Unsettling sounds or visual cues will heighten the tension. The maze responds to your actions, making each decision—whether to take a different path, conserve battery power, or trust the compasses—crucial to your survival.
Jumpscares and the Alien Threat: As you explore, expect unexpected jumpscares designed to keep you on the edge of your seat. The real threat, however, is a mysterious alien lurking within the maze. It watches your every move, and its presence is felt through eerie sounds and strange visuals that increase the further you go. At any moment, the alien could strike, making every corner of the maze a place of danger.
Simple, Accessible Gameplay: The game is designed to be intuitive and easy to pick up, with no complicated tutorials required. The controls are straightforward, making it perfect for short, tense sessions. The gameplay focuses on exploration, resource management, and the thrill of the unknown, creating an accessible yet engaging experience for all players.
Tension and Mystery: The maze isn’t just a puzzle—it’s a survival challenge. You’ll need to stay alert as you traverse its paths, with each turn potentially hiding something sinister. The sense of danger and mystery builds as you progress, with atmospheric changes and unpredictable events creating a sense of urgency and fear. Trust your instincts, be cautious, and keep your wits about you as you explore the maze.
About the Developer
At just 16 years old, I'm proud to introduce The Corn Maze as my first-ever game! The core gameplay came together in just one week, with another few weeks spent polishing, debugging, and fine-tuning the experience. This project was not only a fun creative challenge but also a chance to learn and grow as a developer.
I want to be transparent about the tools I used: while I relied on a bit of AI assistance to help speed up some aspects of development (like generating sounds or refining assets), the entire game was built and designed by me. Every detail, mechanic, and spooky corner of the maze was crafted with care and passion.

User Reviews
A very elementary maze game which is definitely not worth its value for a PAID Steam game, let alone this game is not even worth the time spent for a F2P game. Even with the spring sale, I regret purchasing this game. It definitely needs better graphics and HUD, better soundtracks, and there needs to be more content in a fun way to be worth its price tag. The game is very boring, especially after the hour mark. There’s no reason to touch the game anymore after completing it. Somehow this game is even worse than those free horror games you can play on your web browser, plus web browser games don’t require large downloads and you can load into them in seconds with a fast internet connection. There’s more popular and fun ones both on your internet browser and on Steam, so this game is a downgrade in comparison. To give some examples, Slender Man was playable as a free online web browser game, even over the past decade or two. Also, games that are purely not horror but have co-op or...
Intended to be a horror maze game, realistically a high school game project finished in a week. Incomplete, lackluster, and below standards of any popular horror game out there.
frequent crashes and launching issues. not worth the buy even on sale
Awful game. Movement feels like being bound to a wheelchair. Graphics are low quality and the setting feels artificial. Not many options to explore in the maze either. Enemies feel awkward and non-intimidating. Do not recommend.
laggy and doesn't run well
Don't support this developer or buy his games, he didn't even finish this game and he's making a "rebirth" game. This game is abandonware. AVOID
