It’s hard to give Discopup a review, because that feels too cheap for something that feels so wholeheartedly fresh, funny, dark, inventive, and brilliant. This is a game that should—in a just world—have thousands of reviews and hundreds of video essays and podcast episodes covering it. Thankfully, eurothug4000 released a video this week unearthing this gem I would have otherwise missed. I won’t say anything more about the game because you really should play it blind, but if you must know something, know this: the late great David Lynch would be proud. Thank you, Parry Mechanics, for this beautiful game!

About This Game
In DISCOPUP, you're a seal eager to party, making your way to the most famous nightclub in the city: DiscoPup. However, tonight, the bouncer is only letting dogs in. How will you make it past him?
Costumes! Find the right accesories and combine them in such a way that will make you look just like any other party dog. Put your fashion sense to the test against DiscoPup's bouncer.
Meet quirky characters! A mouse that speaks in tiny words. A suspicious wolf granny. A cowboy puppy with a big plastic on his paw. A mind-reading ferret. They all have something to say and they might help you in your search for the perfect dog costume.
But you only have so much time... DiscoPup closes its doors at 2:00 a.m. Whatever you do, make sure it brings you closer to your goal. Investigate and figure out which actions are worth your time. The best night of your life depends on it.

User Reviews
A delightfully quirky indie game, Great sense of exploration and world design. Has Jazzpunk vibes, if you vibed with that game, you'll enjoy the comedy in this one.
This is a rather unique game that I can't properly classify as horror or comedy, since it's kind of both mixed with a timeloop, in the loosest sense of the term (some items carry over to future runs once obtained). Eury is an animal crossing-esque seal trying to get into a club that only accepts dogs and needs to assemble a proper dog costume to fool the bouncer. From here... well. There's some very surreal moments that work well juxtaposed with the art style, and I appreciated how subtle/genuinely unexpected some of the "scares" were — it's more of an "unsettling" game than one that's actually trying to scare you most of the time. The metaphors/allusions were unexpected but appreciated. The tone swings around a bit, since in this same game you can get unexpectedly sent to heaven, accidentally join a cult, and if you put a cat mask on and talk to the right person it does a vine boom sound effect and shows a quickly fading photo of a pathetic looking orange cat which is responded to w...
I learned about this game through eurothug4000. Her review of the game made it seem like something I didn't want to miss, even though it totally flew under my radar. Now that I've played it, I completely understand the sentiment. DISCOPUP is a short 1-3 hour narrative adventure full of Lynchian Surrealism, Zoomer Humor, and homages to some of my favorite works of media. It's a very abstract experience but, like the work it takes so much inspiration from, there is so much meaning hidden beneath the surface. It is vibes, it is hilarious, it is DISCOPUP.
an awesome, unnerving puzzle game with a lot hidden under the surface, funny moments and cute art. very david lynchian
Pretty great. Would recommend.
DISCOPUP is Lynchian adventure to get into the club and bust it down puppy style. One of the most rewarding games to go into blind that I have encountered. Please let me buy the soundtrack so I can give the devs even more money!! <3
Go into this as blind as you possibly can, it was some of the most fun I've had exploring and finding secrets in a game in a long time. Incredible game and I wish I could play it for the first time again and again.
Discopub is the perfect example of why I love indie games. It takes inspiration from familiar elements, but twists them into something that feels completely unique and unforgettable. It’s a flawless mix of humor, horror, and a gripping story that kept me hooked from start to finish. The pacing is spot on… it never overstays its welcome, and every moment feels intentional. And I can’t go without mentioning the soundtrack: absolutely awesome and the perfect companion to the experience. If you’re into games that dare to be different and leave a lasting impression, Discopub is a must play.
