This game is so underrated, the way they made Prague is incredible and it still looks gorgeous. Also, it has some of the best side quests and game hub. Too bad, the story remains incomplete as the awful publishers abandoned this legendary IP. One of the best immersive sims!

Just a phenomenal gaming experience. They didn't reinvent the wheel or add a ton of extra crap. More of the same greatness from HR with a lot more to explore. This would be a trilogy rivaling Mass Effect if they could cap it off with a third game of the same caliber. Basically perfect. The story felt a little anti climactic, but it would still be worth it at full price, if you're some sort of crazy person that doesn't wait for sales.
This game was unplayable on release. Finally managed to complete this masterpiece of boredom after 10 years. A precise definition of the gameplay: 70% crawling 20% hacking minigames 10% cutscenes And, in the end, your reward is 20 minutes long unskippable credits.
Game has an unavoidable crash during mission 9 around 10 hours in. No matter what you do it will crash during the cutscene where you enter the NSN room. This is 100% reproducible on Windows, Mac and Steamdeck. As a result the game is impossible to finish. Update: I was able to get past this by loading an earlier save, and making sure that I completed mission 9 BEFORE mission 8 or any of the available side quests at the time. I was then able to proceed through the cutscene without a crash. The game is really fun, and I'm enjoying it. It feels much closer to the original Deus Ex in spirit than Human Revolution ever did. However, stuff like the above makes it hard to recommend on PC.
Contains subtly pro-transhumanism and subtly pro-LGBTQ+ messaging. Player growth revolves around augmentation. The minor npc Shadowchild is a lesbian. She is featured in the System Rift DLC.
Starting off the review with a personal note, DE:MD is one of the games that helped me with my grueling battle with anxiety and perfectionism. Played the game start to finish doing what I want (I love playing stealth only in games like this) such as only doing the story, save-scumming, playing on a normal difficulty, and only doing few or altogether skipping all side content. The 23 and a half hours I spent with this game were mixed with a sense of urgency to just get this over with while appreciating how far this franchise has come and enjoying every minute of it. DE:MD is one of the games that are helping me battle the perfectionist goblin and anxious asshole in my brain, just playing games because I chose to play it. I'm actively avoiding review videos, game-play videos, and doomscrolling on social media and encountering gaming content to help myself appreciate this medium again with the same light I had as a kid playing my first Monster Hunter title. As of now, I can say I...
Yes
Brilliant game BUT... bugs, crashes may makes this game unplayable for lots of people. You should put an effort to solve these bugs. If you love stealth games, this one is for you. You can change your play style. destroy opponents with shooting around. However, it best played with stealth skills. Hacking mechanic is awesome. 10/10 for game design, graphics, sounds 5/10 for coding, compatibility with modern PCs
Good game, slightly worse than human revolution in all aspects, except graphics.
Adam! Wake up! You're in Prague.
