It's like this old programmer joke: A tester walks into a bar. Orders a beer, orders 5 beers, orders -1 beers, orders infinite beers, orders RANDOM_STRING beers. Everything's fine, the bar opens to customers. A customer walks in, orders bourbon, and the entire bar goes up in flames. Does this make sense? Cuz that's kinda what this game is like. I had a pretty engaging time. Not sure if I can call it "fun", though; Actually, scratch that. It was fun in a weird way. Just like reading a Junji Ito manga is fun. Just like staying up till 2 AM to fix that one damn issue is fun. Just like cutting through the bushes because your troop leader decided that this is the right way, changed his mind, but you're already too far gone so might as well go all the way is fun. While being similar in style and general vibe, it is still very much doing its own thing. Enter this malware-riddled game and try to fix what haunts the code inside, seemingly beyond repair. The game constantly forces you to think outside the box, try new approaches and even random ideas which surprisingly work quite a few times. 90% of the game I was legitimately confused, it just throws so much weird stuff at you. It can be frustrating at certain parts, but it does what it wants to do really well. Well worth the full price, and on discount it is a steal.
