I give this a 2.5~ stars out of 5. I really enjoyed WWZ the non VR version. I have 583 hours on that and I just played a bit under an hour of this. As a fan of the previous version, I am basing my expectation of this game based off of my experiences in that game. And I have to say this game feels like a very watered down and simplified version of WWZ. Do not buy this game thinking you'll get a similar experience. It feels like they designed this game for the Quest and just ported it over for Steam. I'll list the things I don't like about this game. First, because this game feels like it was made for the Quest and not for PC, it feels like a mobile game. The graphics are mobile quality. The character models suck. It may be true that you could have hundreds of zombies on screen, but even with just 5 zombies on screen, half of the time they were not skinned. Like I was just shooting at grey cutouts. I have a mid upper tier PC from 5 years ago with a recently purchased 9070XT. My rig can...

Not sure what's going on with all the negative reviews. The game looks great to me. The environments are nice looking and most importantly the game is FUN. Totally worth the price. The auto-aim is a bit aggressive but I get it with hordes of enemies coming it might be needed. Tomorrow, I'll check if I can tone it down a bit in the settings, or at least turn off the tracers so it doesn't feel like my bullets are little heat-seeking missiles. The characters in game could definitely look a a lot closer to their PC version counterparts, and the zombie animations could be smoother, but I am cutting them a lot of slack on that, seeing as they managed to get hordes of zombies to swarm without dropping frames in VR. For those complaining my guess is they don't have very good VR rigs. Tired of people with 1080ti's and 2060Supers complaining about bad game performance when they try to run VR games on max settings at 144hz. PCVR takes a good pc, and if you can't manage to buy or build that th...

Where to start... Graphics look great...and audio sounds good. But as far as those two things go...the game does not want to run at all...which then causes Steam VR to completely bug out and freeze... I am running an Intel i9 with 32GB Ram, RTX3070...I also use my wifi to run Virtual Desktop off my Quest 3...wifi is always 6GHZ at 2401mbps. So...I know it isn't my rig at all. If there is an optimal codec to use for Virtual Desktop, I am all ears. As soon as the first mission loads in, and I open the hospital door and step into the room...the game glitches out and freezes causing Steam VR to completely fail. Restarting things does not fix the issue...I have no choice but to refund the game and hope it gets optimized in the future. Was really looking forward to a better zombie shooter but I honestly can't seem to figure out why this game failed...its either a Steam VR issue or something in Virtual Desktop...hope the devs figure out which.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 3
You can view my gameplay & early impressions here: https://youtu.be/4Rto54_cmw8 I cannot recommend this game. Performance was atrocious. It fell into the category of unplayable to me, especially after starting the 2nd mission where you're escorting a bus. I was getting anywhere from 20-72 fps, with me lowering graphics and resolution scale on my RTX 3080, that is simply unacceptable. That's sad because I think there may be a good game here, if it had included online multiplayer co-op. There's different type of zombies. The zombie horde is terrifying. I like the different weapons and how you have to setup your defenses (although I wish finding keys in the dark was NOT an element of setting them up). Just give us the ability to setup a few defenses and let us choose which ones. This game badly needs the Oculus SDK so at least we can gain performance on the Meta Quest. I have no idea why devs decide to forego this very basic thing needed by the...

I wasn’t a fan of the game at first, but gradually it’s started to become really fun. Once you get the hang of it, taking down hundreds of zombies is incredibly satisfying. The graphics are decent, nothing spectacular, and there are a few minor issues here and there, but for the price, it offers countless hours of entertainment. Initially, I struggled with grabbing weapons from the holsters and the “easy reload” mechanic, which requires you to precisely hit the ammo belt on the stomach. Once I got past that, it became much smoother. I repositioned the weapon holsters to waist height in front of me so I could see both at all times. This makes grabbing weapons in stressful situations much easier. I don’t understand why the game forces you to grab the weapon by the stock exactly—it would be much more user-friendly if the interaction zone were slightly larger. Similarly, why not allow reloading by simply tilting the weapon down instead of having to hit the belt with the magaz...

World War Z VR is a solid and enjoyable zombie shooter. The massive zombie hordes really keep you on your toes and make each encounter intense and challenging. On my PC with an RTX 4080 Super, the game runs great on High graphics, delivering smooth performance. I haven’t experienced any crashes or major bugs while playing. It’s just a bit sad there’s no multiplayer mode — fighting off hordes with friends would have been amazing. Still, for solo VR zombie action, it’s definitely worth picking up! Can't recommend this one. It's extremely laggy and keeps crashing. I have a decent setup (3080) so should be able to run it, but it's not worth the frustration.

I'm actually really enjoying this game, performance wise it runs butter smooth on 4070ti intel 12700k. The gameplay is fun and can get quite intense, I've only finished the first mission in New York and I found that quite difficult on medium difficulty but still enjoyed it. The graphics look pretty good but can be very dark in places ( could do with a torch on the gun or something which may appear in the progression skill tree) Gunplay not too shabby and very similar to after the fall. I can definitely recommend if you are wanting a fun decent quality single player zombie shooter

Feels unpolished and the zombies are just too different than the flat game. I wish they had just made a VR version of the flat screen game, it would have been so beautiful.

runs like absolute ass, that is if it runs at all perfectly fine in the menu, but as soon as i enter any mission (even the prologue) the game stutters every 5 seconds, constantly flickers and is outright unplayable quickest refund of my life i couldnt recommend it any less
