About This Game

From the everyday passenger to the horrors of Halloween, Spirit Driver is a short, casual conversation visual novel where your choices can affect the fates of people and spirits alike.

As an old taxi driver nearing retirement, you'll be spending your time working the "special shift" during the week of Halloween. During this special shift, your passengers will consist of both people and supernatural beings.

Originally made for the 2024 Spooktober 6th Annual Visual Novel Jam, Spirit Driver is releasing on Steam with a few changes from the original, including achievements, cafe changes, and minor tweaks. The main story remains the same. This version is mainly for those who wish to support us and/or get achievements on Steam.

I found this game during the Steam wide Visual Novel sale and loved the art and idea of it so naturally I bought it. It's short but well put together. It was a bitch to defeat the horse god but like... it's a fucking god and a horse of course! lol Other than the Pokemon-esque fighting sequence you can encounter, it plays like one would expect a VN to play. The writing is solid (Love that Moon guy), and the pixel art and music choices really tie everything together with a cutely spoopy Halloween bow. Only wish I had discovered to sooner so I could play it around Halloween...

such a cute little game, and so well made! it perfectly mixes lighthearted humour with more serious topics, and the art is just gorgeous. well worth every dollar !! <3
