About This Game

Hop on board the ultimate train defense challenge! Build, upgrade, and strategize as endless waves of enemies threaten your precious Infinite Power Generator.

All Aboard! The Train Defense Express blends the best elements of auto-battlers, survivors, tower defense, and idle/clicker mechanics into a unique strategy experience. It’s easy to pick up, but hard to put down—don’t let its casual appearance fool you!

Your job is to protect the Infinite Power Generator by buying defensive train carriages to destroy incoming enemies, and economic train carriages to help generate gold. Choose carefully—only the right combination of carriages will allow you to survive the endless waves of enemies!

Level up your carriages by combining 3 of the same type and level to create even more powerful defenses! You can level up carriages infinitely, but it'll cost you.

It's essential to buy upgrades from the shop! Upgrade the value of gems so that each gem is worth more gold, and hire miners to automatically produce more gems for you.

Survive against the orc onslaught!

Saw RCE play it, and was oddly compelled by the concept, is very fun, tho after a certain point even my pretty good PC was brought to it's knees by the number crunching caused by the infinite scaling. Well worth the price.

Played a round, was rather fun. Played a 2nd, ended up going for like 3.5 hours, and there's not much there. It's too active to be an idler, but you're not actually playing a game. The upgrades start out fine but eventually you have to click the upgrade chest several hundred times per upgrade stage. Most of the relics seem to be geared towards early runs and become 100% worthless in later games. It's trying to be somewhere between a game like Vampire Survivors and an Idler, and it just fails at both.

Pretty shallow even for the price point. I usually am happy with a game at this price if I get a few hours out of it, but on my second run I ended up leaving it running after about 45 min (real time, 2x game speed) because I had QUADRILLIONS of gold and got bored clicking chests to spend it. More than half my playtime here is me just letting that run end, not a great reason to play another run

I'm 50/50 on this. 50% great for a refreshing, addictive concept. And 50% salty because this is not idle-able untill like 1-2h into a run & therefore it's kindof false advertisement. So since it's not idle and runs are that long, you're basically wasting hour(s) on single runs. There's meta progression though at least, and relics to unlock. Scaling sucks though, feedback is uh... existant - while you are still alive and you hit pause. As soon as enemies outscale you and roflstomp you there's no real telling what's missing now. CC, shield dmg, range, raw dmg? I also find it highly questionable to lock 5x speed behind so many tickets... so you're telling me that my time isn't worth the QoL before I put in so many hours into this game? Why do you want to eat my time so badly with long, slow runs in a time when the video game market is already overly flooded with too many options? There's also no way ingame to check which relics or towers combine into the special towers. I had a tower o...

Interesting concept for a rogue incremental game. Can be very active or very passive, depending on the approach. Thumbs up.

Honestly I think the game was just alright. The overall gameplay loop is very repeatable without much changing. I think the balance in the game is a bit lacking and it is very simple and easy to become overpowered. I also wish that some of the upgrades like bulk upgrades for weapons was available since the start of the game (obviously starting at 60 minutes to make it balanced). I think the price is ok with this game, I just feel like I wasted a lot of time chasing the achievements for 100%. I would say buy it if you are interested but the game doesn't offer many new or unique experiences in comparison to other survival like games or scale and upgrade games.
