I love this game. A space opera rogue-like that takes its emergent narrative seriously, it's a creative, high-value take on the genre. Moreover, this game is valued by its developers, who released their 300th free update recently. Through it all, they've maintained a commitment to building on their product without ever, ever asking for a microtransaction. It's the patches that introduce new content--you don't buy a $20 DLC, you just get a new class patched in at no added cost. ST:F comes complete with a series of unlocks to steer your play and encourage experimentation. I'm not even done with all the unlocks after 500 hours--it's that replayable.

Explore distant worlds and loot dangerous wastelands and your crew will become intrepid and clever ... or scarred and half-mad.

First there was the Exodus – when survivors of a great war left the ruins of the Galactic Core behind in search of a new home in the stars. Scattered worlds were claimed on the fringe of the galaxy. Each pocket of survivors held on to an isolated set of worlds while trying to rebuild under the great law of Shalun. Three centuries later, technology has brought them back together again. Discovery of the hyperwarp has bridged what was once an unimaginable distance between far-flung colonies, long-lost families, and political factions.
With that reunification has come great economic prosperity. The hyperwarp reestablished the transportation of cargo, goods, and technologies between the quadrants – but it has also brought great strife. Political rivalries have been rekindled, blood has been shed in age-old feuds, and the fires of war have been stoked. Amidst the political infighting, a ruthless revolution is rising – and the fervent explorers of the hyperwarp have awoken something that was better left asleep.

Our very first game, Star Traders RPG, took hundreds of thousands of gamers on an interstellar adventure. Star Traders’ success and overwhelmingly positive reception helped to launch Trese Brothers Games. It was the adventures of our community’s star-crossed captains that put us on a trajectory to share more of our worlds, ideas, and dreams.
We set out to capture the loneliness, bravery, and camaraderie of people living together in a spaceship sailing across the stars. It is with great pride that after releasing four other games in the Star Traders universe, we’ve created a sequel to the original Star Traders RPG.
Step onto the bridge of your starship, take to the stars, and create your own story in Star Traders: Frontiers.

Its a good game , Decent replay value with multiple captains u can unlock.... For those who have troubles may i suggest the star traders wiki and the guides and plz dont start above Normal difficulty on first tries...
While fun at times this game offers absolutely NO help on any of it's activities. So promising but leaves the newer player wanting. If you are into struggling through a game for hours trying to figure out how to go about doing anything, this game is for you!
A game I've probably started 5 times but is so dense it was hard to stick with. I finally decided to do a full playthrough but even after learning the game mechanics it's just too much of a slog. For a game called "Star Traders" you can't make money without tanking your reputation and the reputation system is so punishing. Even if you attack no one you can make enemies with almost everyone by doing harmless actions but anything seen good by one faction is seen as bad by one or more. In the end you have so many sectors and planets that are no go zones because you helped one side a little too much. I love the idea of managing a crew that is fully fleshed out. Never found a game that did that. However, you can't sneeze in this game without upsetting a faction. You're constantly searching for missions since you can't trade but missions have a similar problem. If you love court intrigues, diplomacy, and drama this is your game but if you want to do trading among the stars this isn't it.
Really enjoyable tactical space game
It's hard but engaging. Let's say daunting. Challenging really. It has a story but doesn't seem to have a goal. It compels you to create your own story. A single playthrough takes quite some time, unfortunately.
Fantastic, Deep and Challenging game. Dont let the simple graphics fool you, this game has more depth and theory crafting than most recent AAA's
A bit of an odd duck, this - it merges a lot of genres together, mixing up spaceship and crew management with card-like ship to ship and personal combat. There's a plot to follow, and then a series of systems to explore and make a living in. While it stick the landing, ultimately it could probably benefit from a slightly tighter design. Ultimately though I found it fun if perhaps not as fully engaging as I'd like with very limited personal time.
Good all round game has some rpg and trading game. Story seems a bit hard to follow is the only small downside to the game. Just do the side quests the story line quest get in the weeds very fast.
I enjoy this game on mobile.
