Ok so OG Warcraft Veteran here. who also loved WC 2, and WC 3 and Starcraft 1 and especially SC 2. Stop and don't fall into the hype. This game need a TON OF WORK. It is almost a mindless micro managment system of pouring units out. WSAD doesn't work and it makes clicking, selecting and giving orders with number pad extremely slow. There is no pause. There are times when you have to click and do things and you just can't because number pad is what's used. When you change WSAD to become the controls for left right up down, it won't work 90% of the time because if you selected a unit, S is for pausing them to work and the camera won't move. I can't tell you how many times i can see to my far edge zombies attacking my town, and i can't scroll over to send my units there because of the absolutely insane NUMBERPAD movement..... As far as strategy, nope. It's a fast paced grab land, grab more land, set up guard towers FAST and mindlessly pouring in units and i mean mindlessly. S...

Finally a proper RTS. Starts early access with 1v1, team, single player, tutorial, replay system, mod workshop, map editor. Much better launch than some other RTS/RTT games I have played recently but will not name Broken Arrow :)
Great game but I personally would like to have a Hero in the standard game mode as well.
Super recommend. The Scouring does something very special in terms of game design which I have never experienced before. In a game like Dota 2 or League of Legends, one of the main appeals is to be able toe experience the entire spectrum of A-RPG progression in the span of a single match, spanning a 10 minute time frame for the early game, mid and late games. This solves a specific problem in regards to time-investment because I get to experience the whole meta-levelling progression cycle in a single 40 minute match instead of a 70 hour grind. The massive advantage is being able to experiment a massive amount of builds with absolutely no grind, and all packaged within a multiplayer sandbox where unpredictability is king; and familiarity is queen (because of a single map). The result is a game with massive replay value, and the best power scale progression a multiplayer game can offer, not to mention the teamwork mechanics where replay value increases even more. The value of an RTS ...
As someone who is against the "early access" scam that plagues modern gaming. This is my thoughts: The game is fun for a short while, but it gets boring quickly. The engine runs smoothly, the controls feel fluid, and the graphics are nothing groundbreaking - but they get the job done. The real issue is that the game feels too generic. It’s a watered-down mix of Warcraft II and Age of Empires, more of a tech demo or proof-of-concept than a full-fledged title. At times, it even feels like a mobile game (the icons and such), I’ve logged over 500 hours in the demo (because my pc can't play much else), and honestly, there’s almost no difference here. Besides being barebones, it’s a single-faction PvP game (Orcs / Humans are 99% identical). Several RTS friends I invited to try it weren’t interested at all. As a free time-killer, or if your PC can't play anything else - yes it’s passable. But at the current price and if you have other game options? Not worth it at all even b...
Blizzard didn't make Warcraft 4 so some dude did... Honestly this is a really well made RTS with a very solid foundation, which comes as no surprise since the Developer behind it created Spintires. The game is probably more similar to Warcraft 2 but is clearly also inspired by Warcraft 3. Currently there are two modes "Classic' and 'Hero'. Classic Mode - Destroy enemy. There's also NPC's which attack you at night if you enable this option. Currently there's no hero in this mode which I'd like to see or can enable/disable pre game. Hero Mode - Control 1 Hero like a MOBA and the AI builds your base and units for you which you can then rally with your hero. Game is locked at 60 fps, playable for sure but I'd like to see this unlocked if possible. Exclusive Fullscreen mode is super laggy for some reason even at 60fps, Borderless Fullscreen is fine. My other teething issues such as UI are on the roadmap, its functional now though for sure. This is a simple to learn and hard to master ...
cool concept, game works great but its very bare bones. campaign will arrive in 1-2 years so no need to rush. + runs great on linux + game art style looks and plays great - not much content - does not look crisp on a widescreen monitor - no graphic options (fps limiter, vsync, AA, anything) - 60 fps limit (fixed) - campaign is coming in 2027 - ai path finding should be improved when fighting happens
It is 95% a remake of Warcraft 2 with a splash of 3, down to the worker unit quotes. Bought it to support RTS. Has a solid starting foundation. Don't really like the potion buildings and would rather see a priest/paladin unit instead. Game will greatly benefit from more factions and units.
Small game but solid content and good fluidity and pathfinding. Maybe buy it now to support the dev or buy it in a few months when the content gets extended
the best game i have ever played! remind me so much of warcraft III but with lots of nice changes to it
