About the Game

What happens after Plague Inc. wipes out the world?

Decades after the Necroa Virus ravaged humanity, a few survivors emerge. Build a settlement, explore, scavenge resources and expand as you shape your post-apocalyptic society. The world is green and beautiful but danger lurks in the ruins!

After Inc: Revival is the brand new game from the creator of ‘Plague Inc.’ - one of the most popular games ever with over 190 million players. Brilliantly executed with beautiful graphics and critically acclaimed gameplay – After Inc: Revival is engaging and easy to learn. Build multiple settlements and gain abilities in a persistent campaign to lead humanity out of the darkness.

Public Service Announcement: Unlike our other games, I’m pleased to say that After Inc: Revival is not based on any real-world situation. No need to start worrying about a real-life zombie apocalypse yet…

 • Exploit the ruins of the past to scavenge / harvest resources.

 • Expand your Settlement with housing, farms, lumberyards and much more.

 • Shape your society and provide services to keep your people happy.

 • Make difficult decisions - Are children an unaffordable luxury? Are dogs pets or a food source? Democracy or Authoritarianism?

 • Exterminate zombie infestations and defend humanity.

 • Explore a beautiful post-apocalyptic United Kingdom.

 • Build multiple settlements in a persistent campaign and level up abilities.

 • Ultra-realistic modelling of Zombie behaviour based on real-life studies… :P

 • Sophisticated narrative algorithms shaped by your decisions.

 • 10 unique leaders with radically different abilities.

Very repetitive so far. Nothing like its predecessors Plague Inc and Rebel Inc, which provide a lot more variety and which I really like. Until there some serious improvements and we gain more content I unfortunately can't recommend this game.
I thought I had seen the 4X strategy of my dreams, but realized it was a total disappointment. Because it's a game for the phone... Stop making games for phones.
If you're releasing a game on Steam today. You'd have to define your audience. I see the interface is made for touch screens! It's a hybrid of a tablet game and a PC game. I don't want to have to go to a separate construction window to see what to build. In Plage Inc., it looked harmonious. I was picking branches of infestation. But why shove this mechanic further? All the usual strategies make the building icons of buildings square tiles. For example, in the game They Are Billions or banally in Anno. Even though there is a lot of construction and icons. I don't get confused about what to build. It's minimalistic. I feel like I'm playing on my phone..... Have you played any strategy games at all? Building shouldn't shut down the whole game and pause it. And then you have to click twice to build a bu...

The game is... fine... I guess. But there's no random scenarios or endless mode or anything so once you finish the campaigns and do the daily challenge there's nothing to do. I can log in, do 1 daily challenge, and then I'm literally not allowed to play any more. Opening a game and not being allowed to play it is not fun.

The core loop is there of starting a colony, exploring, resource management, fighting zombies. Its done well as usual by Ndemic. Its just not rewarding or interesting. All the maps and colonies feel the same. There isn't any attachment to my colony or peoples. In current state it is more of a casual mobile clicker and I can't stress this enough a VERY LIGHT Colony Sim. I don't know why there is a City Builder tag, there's no city building. I had fun playing it, but nothing is drawing me back to play more during early access. Good quality but very shallow.

A classic management game from the Ndemic Creations universe, this time focused on zombies. The game can be challenging at times but is easy to pick up and play. It offers various perks in the form of characters and traits that change the way you approach each game, while introducing new elements throughout the adventure and in the shelters. The Brutal mode is particularly tough, even for experienced players, and requires a solid understanding of the mechanics. The game is currently in early access and promises great things for its final release. Hopefully, there will be new additions to the gameplay, map visuals, and ways to play, as sessions can sometimes feel repetitive over longer playtimes. Overall, a solid success. Under $14 on sale, it's an excellent deal.

Thanks to the Demo I was able to understand the basics and how to operate the game. I'm stressed out about the 1 hour refund on Steam and don't end up bothering to play games that I might like or quickly shut down and ask for a refund - having been burned too many times. This lead me to buy the full version. I find it addictive but frustrating to wait for maps to become available due to time locks and I'd play another 100 map locations if I could, it's a complaint but also a testament to how much I like the game. I will buy the expansion pack as soon as it is available. Now off to impatiently wait for next map to unlock and play my old over played games while I wait. My Pros 1. Demo provided 2. Fast paced = addictive My Cons 1. Not overly repayable, long term but I did unlock "Escape Hatch" which causes some randomness to a location, which helps some 2. Doesn't remember star rating for last time played; I got a single star, replayed later, got 3 stars, s...

It hits the right spot in my brain, since it provides the perfect experience to those in need for a fresh new game about management & modern-day perils. I love the way it simplifies and abstracts all the tedious stuff and completely focuses on the fun part: decide, control the map, min/max the resources, build yields, enhance them, be a leader to your people. It seems innocent, not flashy, not very nuanced, but I'd prefer a <20€ game that is very, very fun and rich, than a beautifully crafted >60€ game that doesn't really do the trick.

I was never very good at plague inc., but this game was definitely work a try. I tried the free version on mobile first and enjoyed it so much I almost instantly bought the premium. When I got a new phone it unfortunately didn't remember that I had already bought the premium, even though it save all my progress that you needed premium to get. But now that I have it on Steam that wont be an issue. If you love strategist games this is defiantly a good game to scratch that itch. You need to watch multiple stats and keep them in check as well as plan for how you are going to complete the objectives. I watch the time every day for when the new daily exploration unlocks. If this game isn't hard enough for you, I would also recommend their other game Rebel Inc.

Having a lot of fun with this. It's like the Rebuild series and Plague Inc had a baby, and Plague Inc got custody and raised it well. The first campaign currently in the game is pretty quick to beat (took me about 4 hours or so) and haven't finished the second yet but still quite a few other settlements to play through at 10 hours. It's also kind of nice that it continues the tradition of Plague Inc and lets you level up your starting abilities for each settlement (like how you would adjust a virus in Plague Inc). It has a couple of little quirks like no confirm button for selecting a choice or getting stuck with the Hoarder Leader eating up your resources to keep building a storage unit for water, but that's kind of just being a little more used to the hand-holding of some other games. The UI is fairly easy to figure out and the tutorial gives the right amount of information so that it's not overwhelming or dropping you off the deep end. Honestly, this feels more complete than a ...
