Mandragora Playtest

Very enjoyable. It's like a castlevania and darksouls got together and made this game. The graphics are beautiful at the same time clean. Very challenging but fun. Would definately recommend this game when it gets released. Writing this review the day before launch on the playtest version. Hopefully nothing major changes from playtest to the game launch.

The first hours seem interesting. There are some optimization probs in sophisticated areas, please mind paying extra attention. Bosses are generally easy, but there are some difficulty spikes mid-game. The game looks atmospheric and would be even more so if you added lightning options. Sorcerer class is underbalanced and appears as more difficult than completing with a Rogue. Rogue lacks loot variability, most of the drops I had from bosses were incompatible with my current loadout, Knight and Mage don't have that issue, can't wait to try more classes. The dodge ability is balanced well, tho it would be very nice to add some tweaks in the talent tree regarding dodge. I won't give a star score until full release, the game looks promising and I hope to finally find that damned grappling hook to explore more areas. Leveling up the hub is fine and exploration is rewarding. At some point leveling gets hard due to high res demand, but you don't need levels at that point, and I haven't found ...
