I really enjoyed my time with this game, but I cannot recommend it for anyone with a modern PC. It is completely unstable and unplayable, as it crashes frequently during gameplay, making it impossible to progress. I have spent many hours trying every possible solution, from D3D9 wrappers and virtual machines to advanced modding tools like Special K, only to find that the game's code is simply too old and fundamentally incompatible with modern hardware.

Short Version: Trying to play a level deleted my save data of 44 hours. Other than the glitches, good game. This is a pretty good game, but it has a definite problem with game-breaking glitches. It ran well, until I reached the Alubarna level, where it kept sending me to the main menu after loading. I had to tweak the graphics and quality settings, and it finally let me play the level. Then, in the Post-War Level, it happened again, but this time, after tweaking it 10+ times, it kicked me out of the game. When I went back into it, it gave me the message of all my "new" characters being playable (straw hats, shanks, etc.) It removed all my progress 44 hours in. If you do want to play this on Steam, make sure to backup your save file ("C:\Users\*username*\Documents\BNE\One Piece Pirate Warriors 3\SAVEDATA\OP3WIN0000.dat")
