It's time to fight back against exploitation and corporate greed. It's time to make Mayhem your business.

About the Game

The beloved, choice-driven narrative adventure through the Borderlands universe is back! Set between the events of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 3, Tales from the Borderlands follows two unreliable narrators on a quest borne of greed but destined for greatness. Your choices shape this tale to be uniquely yours, with plenty of unforeseen consequences ranging from hilarious to heart-wrenching.

Explore the deadly planet of Pandora as Rhys, a company man who aspires to replace the infamous Handsome Jack as the head of the Hyperion corporation, and Fiona, a clever con artist who can talk her way out of almost anything. When a shady deal goes awry, Rhys and Fiona must begrudgingly team up to get their due, running into vicious gangsters, cannibalistic bandits, and terrifying wildlife along the way. How will you choose to guide their actions on this wild ride to Pandoran glory?

 • Includes all five episodes of Tales from the Borderlands
 • Experience an adventure from the perspectives of two very different protagonists: Hyperion lackey Rhys and quick-witted con artist Fiona
 • Every choice you make drives the story forward, letting you tailor your journey and shape your relationships as you see fit
 • See Pandora and Helios through the eyes of its everyday denizens, with humor and drama around every corner
 • Cross paths with familiar faces from the Borderlands series, and get to know new friends like Rhys' best bro Vaughn and Fiona's savvy sister Sasha
 • Witness the final fates of heroes and villains alike in this crucial chapter of Borderlands canon
TLDR: 7.5/10 Great Story that Actually Fits Really Well Into the Borderlands Series. Tales From the Borderlands Fleshes out Existing Characters, While Also Introducing New Ones That Become Important Later On in the Borderlands Timeline

Actual Review (No Spoilers)
This is the only Telltale game I've played, but the consensus seems to be that it's an above average title for them. Borderlands as a franchise is pretty hard to make work for a virtually story-only game, but despite having literally zero gameplay relation to the main games, Tales is still worth playing. It is a key part of the overall Borderlands story, and fits right in with the inherently wacky and slightly cringe humor of all the other games, while also having genuinely excellent character moments and dialogue. Anthony Burch was on the writing team, so it's easy to see how it fits in so easily. But again, with Anthony Burch on the writing team, it's easy to see how fragile Borderlands' writing is whe...

Easily the best Telltale game of all time best story, best gameplay, best characters. No other telltale game can compete! I swear, if I ever go to war, Reese will be in the little locket I bring with me into battle.

Great story. A travesty what Borderlands 3 and New Tales from the borderlands did with material as great as this.

Better story-telling than any of the Gearbox games (but only possible because they exist, of course). Telltale really knocked it out of the park with this one. If you play all the Borderlands content leading up to this game, it's a real treat. I literally only had one big gripe (massive spoiler):
In Episode 4, Fiona and Sasha get upset with Rhys for not disclosing he had Jack in his head earlier. Every time the game allowed me to attempt bringing it up, I tried, but Jack prevented it. There was no dialogue choice for Rhys to bring up, in his defense, that he (I) did try to tell them. That was frustrating. Even if Fiona or Sasha didn't accept it as an excuse, with the conversation playing out the same, at least I could have had the satisfaction of telling them the truth.
10/10

Recommend to beat BL1/2/TPS first, this is like a love letter movie essentially for Borderlands fans. Tons of comedy, good story, awesome references and VA, etc. Absolute cinema.
