Crashes often. Seriously a pain. Just want to play through. Tried the same area after a crash and got to within sight of the next save point and crash. This port sucks.

My 1st childhood JRPG. Grandia 2 features one of the most immersive and unfortunately underused battle systems I've ever played. The characters themselves are loveable and though many would coin the story as generic and linear for younger players it's a remarkable way for them to become exposed to the concepts of the darker aspects of human nature, the seven deadly sins and what it means to be human in spite of them.

If you like old school JRPG's then this is for you. Despite being and old game its combat system is still unique and interesting even by todays standards. The story is kinda troupey but considering the game came out in 2000 its troupes weren't nearly as played out as they are today. Takes about 30-35 hours to beat and all the achievements can be gotten in one playthrough with a guide and some planning.

A great RPG of the time, and still fun to play today. Would recommend!

It isn't just the nostalgia, it is playing a game you remember from when you were really young and realise that is has a combat system that is more innovative and fun than most new CRPG and JRPG games on the market.

Game crashes so frequently as to be effectively unplayable unless you're interested in just grinding in circles around a save point without progressing the story much. Also not sure where the "HD Remaster" comes in, since it's visually identical to what I had on my PS2 over 20 years ago. Save your money, time, and patience. Grandia II is a fantastic game; this port is not.

It was a real pleasure to play through this classic again. Though some of the dialog is a bit dated now, the combat system is a model in the genre. However in my case, the game keeps crashing right after defeating the penultimate boss. I just can't proceed past this fight and it is extremely frustrating to be denied the very last bits of the game.
