6/10 A short but memorable experience. An interesting glimpse into David's origins as a game creator, and an equally interesting glimpse into the psyche of the characters of this world. 'The Moon Sliver' is very mechanically simple, and that works. This is a game much more content with letting the story pass you by, there are great moments that show you the sort of lives the people of this world lived. And there are moments that may unsettle you, though not to the extent David is known for. This is a story of what was, and more notably, what isn't. My rating is critical, but do not let that fool you. This is a game worth picking up.

User Reviews
There's no save system, which is OK for such a short game, but there's also no protection against accidentally hitting "exit" on the pause menu and getting yeeted out without warning. I did this twice and had to repeat everything. I liked the part of the game that I played twice.
"I came looking for copper but instead struck gold" the videogame The story's focus on the characters' relationships, bittersweet fates and thoughts revolving on what lies on the outside world beyond the bleak island, along sides on what to do with the supposed sacred artifact passed up to them, managed to slowly build up the story and eventually deliver one of the few times where a game's ending left such an impact on me... Somehow doing all that with a run time of a single. hour. Damn you David Szymanski
