H!, for different reasons i didnt palyed this game while being a fun of quests, and i gave it a try finaly. From the first step i am droped in a very humorous adventure... well i am droped on the ocean`s bottom actualy..... gone listening to the log recorder.... . Fully recommended to all pointclickers , pixelhunters and other wilcos. Annnd as usual i reconfig the dosbox_rexnebular.conf a bit ,it can be found in dosbox_windows folder., i set - scaler=advmame2x - to make picture a bit smoother and - cycles=9000 - because it was set a bit slow.

This game was recomended to me by my lovely parents, who owned a copy of the original. I actually ended up buying it so my mother can relive her love of cheesy 90s games. However I gave it a go when I installed the game for her, and after sitting through the long cut scene (you can tell I'm used to modern games x) ) I pissed myself laughing repeatedly. Just 5 minutes or so into the actual play, and I was telling some woman that Forks go whereever they land when I throw them from the kitchen. And somehow, this proved I was a real man. From what I have learned from my parents of this game, I am expecting things to just get funnier from here.

Honestly, this game is pretty trashy. It's filled to the brim with sexism and transphobia, and it doesn't really have any redeeming qualities besides. The storyline and writing is mediocre and the gameplay and puzzles aren't terribly engaging. The only reason I bought this game was for the sake of nostalgia; I remember playing this on my grandpa's computer when I was much too young to understand any of the sex jokes. If you're looking for a blast from the past this game serves well enough, but if you don't have any nostalgia attached to it, I can't really recommend it.

Great game. Horrible copy-protection. The protection requires you to navigate to the installation directory, find the correct pdf and enter word X from line Y on page Z. The process is non-intuitive, cumbersome, not documented in any way, and support took over a week.

Rex Nebular is a classic comedy point-and-click adventure game. You play as Rex Nebular and your quest is to retrieve the vase from a unknown planet when you're suddenly attacked by female invaders hunting down the male race. If you're into comedy type point-and-click adventure games and have a couple bucks to spare, I recommend this old school game Rex Nebular. Don't forget to go through the copyright protector. The manuals are in the folder when you purchase & install the game. This review is from someone (like myself) who remembers playing Rex Nebular from a IBM computer back in the early 1990's when I was a kid. I had Windows 3.1 before Windows 95/98 was made. Good times...

TL:DR -- This classic point and click with 1990s-era graphics and humor that might have been funny back then is a historical footnote on 1990s-era games and mores. Most people will want to look elsewhere for a classic point-and-click. Warning: Any game entitled "Rex Nebular and the Cosmic Gender-Bender" is liable to be filled with humor that most people would consider with crude and sexist. This game certainly is, even by the 90s-era standards. The game premise is a satire of a bad 50s-era Science Fiction B-movie, where the male protagonist gets trapped on a planet of women (you can probably see where this is going....) Some people will find it incredibly funny, many others won't. There's rotoscoping animation of the characters (high-tech for 25 years ago) which is interesting to see in action, and the verb menu system was cutting edge for its time. You can also get killed in many places in the game (even at the beginning), just like quite a few other games of the era. And it was a g...

one of those games that's nearly impossible to complete if you don't have a guide. but I have a soft spot for old point and click games. if you have the patience of a saint and the sense of humor of a fourteen-year-old boy, you will probably enjoy this game quite a bit.

I hated this, so much. If you like point and click games with horrid sound editing that pierces your poor little eardrums from time to time, this is the game for you. For many people the nostalgia factor will be the selling point, but for me it was overshadowed by how annoying the game was to play. It didn't bring me back to good times... It brought me back to a time when finding a good game was difficult and piles of crap like this were rampant. If you're super into pixel tits, I'm sure you'll love it. I'm not saying that there isn't a target audience for this game, but I am definitely saying that I am not part of that target audience. I wanted to like the game. It looked funny. I didn't like it. It was annoying. I have no idea what sale I got this on, but I can't recommend it at full price.

Playing through Rex Nebular and the Cosmic Gender Bender (with a walkthrough) wasn’t too bad. There were times when the game became annoying or tiresome, but I mostly enjoyed it anyway. POSITIVES The graphics are well-made and add considerable realism to an otherwise far-fetched story. However, the image resolution is relatively low (compared to modern-day games), so viewing the game window fullscreen isn’t quite as pleasing. The soundtrack is a bit low-grade and dated, but it’s actually enjoyable to listen to. I wouldn’t add the sountrack to my iPod (if I could), but I didn’t turn it off either. The interface is very sophisticated and not too clumsy. I found myself liking it more than the interfaces of most other inventory-intensive adventure games, and it’s almost as good as some of the better RPG games of this era. There are quite a few ways in which the player character can abruptly die, but (thank goodness) the game doesn’t force the player to restore a ga...
