Very pricey but the gameplay has multiple layers. It's like Patrician 3 but with a 4X game going in the background. Supply and demand, wars, combat, diplomacy, rebellions, competitors, You are essentially playing as the Spacing Guild from Dune. The UI needs work, some QOL features like hotkeys to pause or start the next turn are missing. Reducing the amount of clicks to trade would be nice in the beginning.

About This Game

Holding a monopoly on space travel, guilds are the arteries of trade in a vast galaxy. Nations rely on you to transport produced resources to prosperous foreign markets and provide them with desperately needed rare resources. Make ruthless deals for maximum profits and establish automated profitable trade routes to keep the gears of galactic industry profitably grinding for your benefit.

Design and command customized fleets of bulky cargo freighters, fearsome war armadas, stealthy special operations fighters, and prestigious luxury flagships. Fleets can be modified in a endless range of configurations allowing for the perfect response to any problem a Guild needs to solve.

Not all battles must be fought with a heavy hand, command spy missions to undermine your rivals, turn ally against ally, shutdown vital industries, and cause unrest in the population of your enemies without a trace.

On the way to galactic domination it helps to have powerful friends. Forge mutually beneficial relationships with useful allies owning industries on their planets, fighting in their wars, protecting their trade lanes, and above all keeping the flow of resources efficient and prosperous for both their citizens and your coffers

Orbital infantry can only invade under the artillery cover and safe transportation of mighty war flotillas. Assist your national allies with critical logistics, while crushing your space-faring rivals on the mighty hulls of your war armadas. Ruthlessly bombard enemy planets to soften up military targets for conquest and keep your allies well supplied with military goods to keep up the fight until victory is assured.

User Reviews
Do not enjoy. The menus are rather annoying since you cannot drag the tutorial around. The text on it's background is uncomfortable on my eyes personally. Perhaps will try this game another time but for now I'd rather have my thirty dollars instead of some mercantile 4x rpg where you start as a single ship.
So I start off with an old rustbucket and the tutorial is nattering in my ears about installing ship modules. I accidentally close the tutorial. I don't know what to do so I pick up a load of "research documents" and then travel to a nearby star hoping there's a market for them. There is and I make a tidy profit. So I am slightly less broke. So I pick up some Ore for cheap. Everybody loves ore, right? Go back to the first planet and I know they need ore this time. Rinse and repeat except I add in a third leg to the route with an agrarian planet for foodstuffs and biomass. I'm thinking about investing in a biomass generator but realize first I need to save up for another trade module in my ship so I can double up my profit. Tip for beginners- load up on cheap gas but don't overdue it as the more fuel you carry the less room you have left. I haven't gotten far enough to launch any wars yet but I do have a decent trade network going.
