Chairbound has an interesting, original premise. Your character is tied to a wheelchair on a top floor of an apartment building, and you have to scurry your way down to the bottom floor to escape. There is also a 10 minute bomb timer on your chest, so you must hurry. If you fall, game over, you can't get back up. Along the way you will find various weird and crazy obstacles to manoeuvre around. + The graphics and atmosphere are well made. +/- The control of your wheelchair is an interesting premise, but frustrating in practice due to RNG falls. - Even when you know exactly what to do to complete the game, it will take you a frustrating couple of hours of doing the same 5 minutes of gameplay over and over again. The time restraint is a bit too strict and the game is annoyingly difficult due to the random nature of the controls. Fun at first, but frustratingly difficult to complete 100%. Worth the $2 asking price though, that’s for sure. Overall: 6/10

Such a great concept for a game, everything about it is extremely cool and unique. Too bad the controls just fundamentally feel bad to use. I think generally making a game feel clunkier can help exacerbate horror, but in this case it's just annoying and more often than not pissed me off rather than scared or stressed me out. I think a simply change, like allowing you to hold the directional keys rather than tapping it, would really help out. Maybe keeping the general feeling of moving in bursts and clunkiness by giving the chair a delayed acceleration while holding the directional keys would work better. Otherwise, the game is truly unique in both its presentation and horror elements, but is bogged down by very annoying movement. This would probably work better if it was marketed as more of a rage game than a horror game, but still cool nonetheless.

If u hate yourself and want to struggle then this is the game for you. Not sure I liked the le funny spider at the first floor jumping you like your in the hood of Chiraq ending your play through right then or there or the fact that after I looked up a video on the ending its just a PSA about people on wheelchairs but not sure how some thugs kidnapping you and chopping your legs off plays into that https://youtu.be/9jcIRt4M4GI

Cumbersome movement has long been a staple of horror games so building the whole thing around a physics game is a good idea. Chairbound is a bit rough around the edges, but with practice it actually is possible to get to the end. After beating it I played through it a few more times just to make sure my success wasn't a fluke. The devs have also kept refining the game with several updates since release. This is one of the more unique and fun horror games I've played in a while!

Yo i am going to admit, the concept of the game seems cool and fun however, i have to be very honest.... the game controls are complete dookie on a hot summer day which stinks really bad... having to tap WASD to move and look around half a inch every time. what a f*cking dumb concept.

it's pretty neat, just didn't like the last creature. after figuring everything out, he still managed to knock me over at the end after I shot him to death. timing for everything seems real tight too, not sure if I missed something in the controls or if it's just like that
