This spin-off of the To The Moon series can't really be called a game; it's a series of vignettes with the barest of interaction, and a story told without words, literally. And is as typically heartfelt, moving and beautiful as any Freebird game. It's not part of the main series as such although for fans there are connections, but as a standalone tale which asks for less than 2 hours of your time in exchange for peace and a little emotional exercise it's an excellent deal. With the games industry in the state it's in and with so few games breaking away from 20's tropes and expectations, I honestly don't want to imagine a world where Kan Gao isn't doing his thing, and I will never not be grateful for that. One last thing tho bird-lovers - don't feed birds bread, its a really bad thing! :)
9/10
5, maybe 6 out of 10. good and cute, but have some boring moments. tbf kind of lengthy for something that takes 1,5h. i got emotional at the end :)
Birb. Good experience, but only about 1 hour to complete, no failstates, no interactions, super linear, it was more of an interactive small story.
Made me wanna go to sleep
Simple game with an amazing story.
1. too slow 2. no gamepad support 3. this is not a game you should refund and watch these cutscenes on youtube in 2x speed.
It is a really short game (an hour long) but it is a wholesome and touching one :) It will give you some character context for the next game in the series called "Finding paradise" so if you are planning to play that as well make sure to complete "the bird story" first. Also a nice way to spend an hour of a boring evening when you have no idea what to do. Totally worth it!
A very short and simple game about a boy and a bird You could argue over many different deeper meanings this game offers, yet ultimately it doesn't matter as this game is amazing all the same Sidenote: It would be a stretch to call this game a "game," and at best it is a movie with minor interactivity hell you'd find more game mechanics in the most barebones of visual novels, but I digress
