This is, so far, a very tentative recommend. Let me preface this by saying I am not familiar with this series, I have not played the previous games, but most of my gripes lie in the actual mechanical gameplay, not the story or anything. I have a lot of bad things to say about this game, but I do want to recommend it to people. I'll talk about my issues, and if you're able to put up with indie game jank, then this might be for you. I have not gotten very far, but it's been rough up to this point. The UI is not very good, besides being a little clunky it's also slightly buggy, and just not intuitive really. Additionally, there is no tutorial. You have to go into the options to see what buttons to hit for things, and while most of the controls are intuitive to someone that's been playing video games, especially survival horror, for a long time, it's still not a great way to start any game. Animations are rough, voice acting is REALLY rough, dialogue is... I don't know, nobody talks like...
