"Early Access" is a joke. This game is straight up 20% finished" Charging money for a game that's this unfinished is a joke. I bought this with 2 friends and we didn't even make it an 30 minutes in. Waste of time and money. Maybe finish a little more before you begin charging people money for it. It's honestly kind of sad how little is actually finished here. Cutscenese that are basically slideshow pictures. Only one character voice. Regardless if you make a man or woman you'll always be a woman named Alex. Imagine my surprised when a woman began speaking out of my male character. Would have come back later if the game was free cause the story did seem interesting but nah. 25 bucks for this is insulting.

This game has a lot of potential and i am certain i will come back to it once it has been updated more. Right now however it is not worth the money, while the graphics are amazing, all the quests are simply running from one point to another handing over packages or items. the story sounds interesting but due to the lacking cutscene is not as gripping as it could be. I also dont like the lack of subtitles.

There is a lot to say, so I put all of my thoughts in a Deepdive Video . It will not all be repeated here. Equinox: Homecoming is advertised as a cozy murder mystery that involves horses and exploration. Early Access or not, this game has an alarming amount of issues and a concerning infrastructure with the team. Let's start with the simple: I do not think this game is worth it. Not just $25, but in general. That is harsh, I know, but releasing an Early Access game with the funding and reputation this studio has and in this state is already paving a path that I do not wish to be on. This review may tickle at spoilers. Some Key Points: - The plot itself is rushed with confusing and somewhat worrying writing. Delving into topics like death, s*icide, a person gone missing, and they do not take that seriously. Most of the scenes are not spoken out or in power point slides. - The horses do not feel as if they belong. Even in the beg...

Okay. Just like most of us cowboys, was excited to give this one a try. But in the end... no. Just no. Will try to be brief but GOD do I feel disappointed. Pros: + Character and honse customization is done alright for once! :D + Riding feels great and the sound design is sweet. Having an issue with how hoofbeats sound on particular terrain and they have an odd echo but overall it is better than what most current horse games offer, for sure. + Genuinely think most environments are atmospheric and lovely and nicely done. + Loving the style of the drawn cutscenes and appreciating it when devs sneak those in on occasion. Cons: - Performance. Hate to be that guy and compare every single horse game to RDR2, but... How does THIS run worse than RDR2? Come on. My PC is far from the gaming one, yes, but... ugh. Got them 10-15 FPS at the starting area :') - That voice acting... sure was a choice. I have nothing against the performance/voice actors themselves, but... Perhaps investing ...

I would not recommend this game with the current state it's in. It was released way to early and it crashes way to frequently. I have a good PC 32gbs of ram, decent cpu and a mid-high range graphics card and half the time I can't even load the game with out it crashing repeatedly. It's really disappointing considering the amount paid for an incomplete game. If the game gets better I will delete this review but until its actually playable for most people the review stays.

I was very curious about a horse game for adults with a chill murder mystery in an open world setting. But it feels like the game is not finished yet. The horses feel like robots and you can barely ride off the path without being stuck on a rock. Also the world is empty and lifeless which took my joy in exploring it from me. Why is it an online game? I occasionally meet "other players" that look exactly like my player rushing past me on their robot horses. It makes no sense. So if you don't prioritise these things in your games you can have a little crime mystery game, but for me it was like visiting an abandoned theme park :(

This game has potential but honestly it feels so unfinished, even for early access. They keep adding content without completing the artwork and cut scenes for their current quests. I have never played a game where the quests were only half done and have temporary artwork and voice acting even through the first chapter. Especially for their side quests! I feel like they need to work on making the chapters a little closer to being fully complete before moving to the next one. The temporary art and voice acting is a MAJOR turnoff.

This game has a lot of potential but it also has a lot of area to improve on. It wasn't really fun for me but I will consider purchasing again when it has enough updates to make it more fun. Still a little fun, but the quality of the game doesn't match the price in my opinion.

So here's the thing.. I kind of wish this wasn't a horse game and rather a mystery/supernatural game with strong horse elements. Right now it's trying to be both and the vibe feels really off to say the least. Like it lacks identity. You play as Alex but you are given the option to give your character a name even though everyone in the game calls you Alex regardless. This tells the players right off the rip that this was never supposed to be a multiplayer and I really wish it wasn't. There's no way to separate yourself from the other players or see them as separate people on the island. You're all a bunch of feral Alexes running around, stuffing mushrooms and fistfulls of dirt in your pockets saying the f-word for funsies. It could have been a great stand alone or, if you really wanted to be multiplayer, don't make us the main character in the main narrative. It's just kind of sad because it could be really fun and it is an interesting concept story wise. But I am afraid that it is...

i can't recommend this game with the 24.50€ price tag when the gameplay is functionally the same as SSO which i already have lifetime membership for since childhood... it also manages to make SSO blush by being even buggier equinox:homecoming should've been in private playtesting for far longer before the commercial early access launch. i run into bugs while playing. sometimes, i just randomly get kicked out of the game. sometimes, they don't even let me log into the game. and it's not like i'm playing on a low-end device or anything, my PC can run RDR2 smoothly no problem. is this really the kind of experience i should've paid 25 bucks for but all the bugs aside, the game just feels like the studio doesn't know which direction to even go in. it's TECHNICALLY an MMO, but it lacks any sort of cooperative gameplay. it's really just a singleplayer experience where you can also watch others run around doing the same singleplayer quests as you while also maybe talking in the chat. inste...
