About This Game

A ragtag squad of robot rejects is hired by the SAXON corporation and given one last shot at profitable glory (and avoiding the scrap heap). They are the New Atlas Hazard Crew, a ramshackle squad of exterminators sent to uncover the mysteries behind a planet-wide fungal catastrophe.

Embark on a series of dangerous planet-side missions to drive back the mycological menace. Could this be a simple natural disaster like they claim? And did SAXON really misfile your taxes? Or was that your own fault?

FUNGICIDAL TENDENCIES

Choose from an outrageous arsenal of advanced futuristic weaponry (and some power tools), then supercharge them in a one-of-a-kind grid-based upgrade system to create the ridiculous sci-fi super-weapon of your dreams.

BREAK THE MOLD

Slaughter hordes of enemies as they corrupt and weaponize the planet's technology against you. Pick crawlies apart piece by piece — but be wary, whatever they drop could be grabbed up by another enemy.

VISIBLE RESULTS IN 1-2 MISSIONS

Alone, these rickety robots aren’t up to much, but together they become more than the sum of their parts. Combine upgraded abilities and customised weapons to create synergistic builds and achieve strategic co-op mayhem. Or just shoot each other.

ROACH MOTEL

Let off steam between missions in an orbital dropship packed with toys and games. Hang out with your friends, uncover more about the galaxy, and shoot the breeze with the insectoid SAXON veteran Roachard Cox.

Mycopunk is a very interesting game, with truly funny mechanics and build options. Yet as it stand right now, the content when it come to mission is truly lacking, and the crazy grind needed to get your hands on weapon and character augment is beyond anything i've ever played... after 60h the vast majority of my weapons only have the most common upgrades by the hundreds; Letting me either grind thousands of low level mission with barebone loadouts, or run high level mission with the exact same build with the hope of getting those 0.0005% drop chance augments.

You can feel the love poured into this game, and even that pales next to the love I feel for Rochard.

These fuckers played Borderlands, Deep Rock, and Risk of Rain 2 and took all the good shit and cut off all of the fat. It's pure gameplay and I'd die for Roachard.

MycoPunk is the kind of game that grabs you by the face and shouts, “FUN FIRST DAMMIT” Imagine the precision gunplay and thrilling secret finding of Destiny, the frantic chaos and camaraderie of a Helldivers mission, and then wrap it all in a world bursting with charm, humor, and a behemoth of absurd little details. That’s MycoPunk. The progression system is what really surprised me: it’s not just another “+2% damage” treadmill. Every path feels weird and rewarding, and sooner or later you’ll stumble onto a build that is truly your own. That’s rare as hell—and it absolutely rules. And the world… goddamn. I knew I was playing something special when I caught myself grumbling, “Man I'm having a blast fun but this hub music SUCKS.” Then I realized—it wasn’t the soundtrack at all. It was coming from a loudmouthed stupid-ass advertisement robot. The solution? Smack it across the head, watch it run off crying for its mama. First time I did this I laughed ...

probably more fun multiplayer but dont even try playing this game singleplayer 3rd mission made me try to move around barrels which for some reason needs two people to pick up, making me having to roll the barrels around instead oh and there's physics damage so if you roll it too fast you lose a ton of hp because the game thinks something hit you really fast

I hate to give this game a negative review, but even as a person with alot of time, the grind is soulcrushing. I do not mind grinding in a game, thats what looter shooters are for, but after the initial 6h my progress stopped dead. I hadnt had a level up in hours past level 8 and I didnt have the feeling of getting stronger through drops. I jumped from difficulty 1 to difficulty 4 in the first 2-4h but with my current equipment difficulty 5 and 6 are just a "walking backwards while getting swarmed" simulator and im tired of shooters where combat means walking backwards for hours while kiting bullet sponges. I would love to play this more but everything is a slog, even unlocking new weapons, which the game doesnt have alot of. None of the weapons Ive unlocked so far feel fun and it takes forever to grind resources to unlock the rest (which might also not be fun to use).

Very interesting upgrade paths for weapons and characters. Gameplay is similar to Borderlands + Helldivers in a way. Content Updates are regular and Roachard is the goat

it would be an easy fix but every enemy feels obscenely bullet spongey, the bosses/ abominations dont feel that bad to defeat, but it does feel excessive to kill regular enemies its an entire magazine or 2 to kill.

Fantastic objective fps, movement is fluid and has a really innovative inventory and HUD system. In general the game has so much soul; I haven't even gotten into the grind of this game yet but it's ridiculously creative. I can't wait to see what it evolves into throughout early access
