Ellingby House is a charming, old-school Point'n'Click game with some live-actor FMV as well. As a security guard trapped in an old building in need of renovations, you have to find a way out and stop a catastrophe as well. I mostly bought the game because I heard some people say that it has INFRA vibes. INFRA is pretty much my favorite game of all time, so I just had to check this out. I will disagree on this point though; while the atmosphere is pretty good and some of the general vibe is similar, it's a completely different kind of game (point'n'click versus 3D walking sim / puzzle game). It didn't really give me the same feelings of abandonment and solitude that INFRA weaves so expertly, so I don't think they can be compared - but they don't have to be. Different games, different things. Overall, I did enjoy Ellingby House because it did really accurately give me that 90's Point'n'click vibe, in good and bad ways. About This Game
"This is going to be bigger than 2008..."
It's a gloomy night on September 15th, 2025. You start the night shift as a security guard at Ellingby House, London. The once pristine head office of J.R Holder & Sons now suffers from repeated intrusions, neglect, and all the signs of corporate mismanagement. The building should be empty due to much needed renovations, but something is not quite right upon your arrival...
"Many today are waking up to their computers locked..."
The news gets worse every day. A ransomware trojan is infecting computers globally, a major scandal is erupting in Westminster, and nationwide protests are now a regular occurrence.
Gameplay:
Ellingby House is a first person point-and-click puzzle adventure. You'll explore the building by navigating between high resolution pre-rendered 360° panoramas, picking up and inspecting items, and interacting with mechanisms and computers.
Special Requirements:
We recommend playing Ellingby House on a desktop PC or laptop with a 16:9 screen. Other aspect ratios will work though with some pillarboxing / letterboxing. Please make sure you have graphics hardware supporting OpenGL 4.4 or later. Ellingby House makes use of sound and colour in some puzzles and may not be suitable for those with hearing impairments or colour blindness.
