A Game About Digging A Hole is exactly what it says on the tin—a compact, focused experience about tunneling downward. It’s short and sweet, easy to finish in a single sitting, and the price feels fair for the amount of content. The minimalist presentation and simple, satisfying feedback loop make it a nice little palette cleanser between bigger games. ⚠️ Heads-up: the game leans into tight, enclosed spaces. If you’re claustrophobic or uncomfortable with confined areas, this probably isn’t for you.

Hey Steam community 👋,
I'm Ben, and I created this game in my spare time!
Dig deep, sell what you find, update your equipment to continue your journey further and further. With every spadeful you dig, you get closer to the truth. There's no rush, no rules - just you and the adventure underground.
Costs as much as a ☕ coffee, but is fun for longer and is caffeine-free!

Forgot to dig down and instead became an archeologist after unlocking the drill. Damn, that's satisfying. The ending is funny 10/10
*SPOILER ALERT* In a day and age where marketing has learned to lie to our faces and falsify the abilities and features of many commercial products, this game stands out as a harbinger of truth. Never, ever have I purchased a game that has been so direct with what it is about and to actually live up to its namesake. I spent many, many, many minutes doing exactly what the game entailed; digging a hole. The intrigue, the suspense, the satisfaction were all present during my time digging this incredibly massive hole. I really enjoyed the mechanics of digging the hole and how large the hole truly was. In fact, I believe the destination of having the hole dug was not nearly as incredible as the journey of digging the hole. Finding myself shoveling pile of dirt after pile of dirt left me with trembling with excitement. To those who are considering purchasing this gem of a game, I highly recommend it. To those whom enjoy digging and enjoy the holes that come from digging, this is definitely t...
As someone who 100% completed the game, this is the most mid-game I've ever played. It is essentially a tycoon, you dig and get minerals/ores, you sell them on your laptop, you use the money to buy upgrades for your shovel, repeat. It is very, very short. I would only recommend buying it on discount.
The game starts out fun, exciting to go deeper and deeper and keep upgrading. But after a couple hours you're completely maxed out on upgrades and the handful of secrets are found easily and quick. The "ending" is reached very fast and is extremely disappointing and anti-climactic.
I was looking for a chill, no-stress game… and somehow ended up digging a hole. And honestly? Best decision ever. It’s stupidly simple: dig down, find some rocks, sell them, dig even deeper. Repeat. That’s it. And yet—I’ve never been happier watching my little hole get bigger. Who knew happiness was just… hole-shaped? This is the ultimate “turn off your brain after a long day” game. No stress, no combat, no timers breathing down your neck. Just you, your shovel, and a hole that never stops calling. 10/10, would dig again.
Finished the game in 4 hours. Not much to do after that. If the price is okay for you for 4 hours of playing, go ahead and make a purchase. If not, skip it, it's a very short indie game and you don't miss anything if you don't play it.
Me dig dirt. me dig hole. Me dig ore. Me run past mole. Me 100%. Me happy! Fun simple game for cheap, nothing much to say, its in the title :)
Isn't a bad game, it felt a bit incomplete and rushed once you get to the end game
about 3 hours for full game and all achievements completition. not particularly great but pretty cheap so in the end at least pretty cool. definitelly THE game for anyone with autism xD
