STAR WARS™ - The Force Unleashed™ Ultimate Sith Edition

Honestly one of the better Star Wars stories. Sad that it got taken out of canon.

A childhood classic, however I think it doesn't hold up well on either a graphical or technical level and feels like a slog to play. And after being spoiled by the combat fluidity of the Batman: Arkham Series' of games, the combat in this game is a displeasure, its unsatisfying even without Arkham in mind. I remember the second game quite fondly, so hopefully it will hold up but I do hear its pc port has technical issues.

When I was ten, I remember feverishly watching all the promotional material for LucasArts' new game, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. In 2007, YouTube was still new, and many of the ViDocs and trailers that I saw through the LucasArts website are now lost to time. My excitement for this game was immeasurable, and I remember being so excited when my mom bought me the game at Target one day that I was literally sweating. Unbeknownst to me, the PS2 version that I actually received was... not in any way remotely representative of the game that's on Steam now. Nonetheless, I played it religiously on both my PS2 and later on the PSP through a Blockbuster rental. It wasn't until a couple years later that I played this version on the Xbox 360. There's a lot of nostalgia surrounding this game, a lot of great feelings of being a kid, excited by Star Wars and thrilled by the premise of this title: playing as the secret apprentice to Darth Vader and setting into motion the events of A New Hope, ...

Good game

Good game, absolutely trash port - when your game doesn't even launch without modifying executable names or config files, you know you're cooked It's a real mystery how Aspyr is still in business if THIS is any indication of their track record in regards to PC ports - just go play the 360/PS3 version if you want to play this version of the game, you get the same framerate anyway (the 60 FPS patched exe has severe performance issues so it doesn't matter anyway)
