My only real complaint about this game is there just isn't enough of it. I completed most everything there is to do, and found myself wanting to load it up anyway, despite not having anything left to do in it. Being a game mostly targeted to kids, there is no real violence in it. This is understandable; however, because of this lack of strife, you'll be basically left with no external stimulation once you've completed the main quest. You're just.. done. Done, and with nothing left to disrupt you or challenge you in anyway. Still, it's hard to hate on a game that's major crime is leaving you with a strong feeling of wanting more.

Nothing like a good Xbox Arcade Classic.
Amazing port. Plays and looks exactly the same since I was a 10 year old kid. Love this game and glad it's finally out on Steam after all these years. The ONLY thing is the character customisation which is extremely limited. You choose either Male or Female and then the only thing you can do is change the colours of the clothing/skin compared to the original Xbox Indie classic were it used your Xbox avatar.
I'll agree that the giant customization is really not great.... but omg this game is just as addicting as i remember. I really hope they bring the dlc to steam, I've never gotten a chance to play it
my inner child SCREAMED when i saw this on the steam store. i used to play the demo over and over again on xbox 360 back in the day. its still aS fun as it was back then, and the game has so much more to offer than what i knew of back then!!! :luv::luv::luv:
Honest to god, I thought this game would only ever be a remnant from the memories of the 360/Wii U days and I'd never see it again unless I managed to find one of those consoles again, but when I noticed the game was getting a PC Re-release almost a whole decade later I was excited. The chance to play one of my favorite childhood games that I'd played millions of times? Hell yeah! I'm only a few hours back in, but I remember a lot of these story beats and moments in the game, and the game is still just as fun as I remember. Building your kingdom the way you see fit, managing your resources, designating Keflings to certain tasks, all of it still is fun to this day even after all this time, and it's satisfying to build your kingdom how you want and see it all come together. The one thing I do miss was how in the OG releases you could use the avatars on 360 or Miis on WII U in-game as your character which was cool to see in a non-nintendo game, but I know that wouldn't be possible. ...
Well i really like the game. but for that price the campaign is very short. i finished the game in less than a day... i found that very expensive for almost 12€. i really like all about the game. its just way to short. and until now the walls and cannons didnt have any use in the game. and although i finished it im almost missing half of the emotes you can unlock :(
I played A Kingdom for Keflings on my 360 way back, but never World. Really enjoyed playing through this and I'm not so clouded by nostalgia for this particular game, but I did find the dialogue very funny and charming. Being able to create a 360-esque avatar was nice too. It feels a little clunky on mouse and keyboard, but for a game that was clearly designed with a controller in mind, it's not bad at all. Of course I didn't expect the game to be changed for the PC release, but I did find the army of builder keflings a bit disconcerting even if they do help with the tedium of building larger structures, I quite liked the methodical nature of it in Kingdom, plus not being able to hand them stuff directly felt a little weird. The rarity of infinite resource stones/trees was a also bit of a change compared to how I'm used to playing, but it did definitely make managing your workers more challenging. Will definitely go back and get the 3 achievements I'm missing at some point, can't s...
I think this game is very nostalgic and solid, I really wish it was longer or more kingdoms to put together.
Shorter than I remember but a good nostalgia boost.
