i like the game but it mistakes frustration for difficulty, four bullet sponge rocket salvo enemies in four foot wide corridor with no cover isn't hard, it's a set-up.

10/10 game EXCEPT the devs need to add a way to see our crit chance and crit damage stats. PLEASE!! Phenomenal job to the devs look forward to seeing what else is to come.
The game is fun, I'm still playing. Though there are a few glaring issues. The company is KNOWN for leaving games that aren't doing well. I believe that this game had 4 name changes? Once this one got wishlisted/downloaded during early access, they kept the name. Tons of AI stuff. Holy crap the amount of in game dialog and pictures that use AI is just nuts. Speaking of AI, the path-finding for the robots is beyond stupid. I don't remember the term, but they don't go based off eyesight, they go based of map positioning. So you can literally dance with them back and forth behind a wall and watch them follow your movements. I haven't unlocked everything, but I'm in act 2 and so far the meta for weapons is pretty obvious. Frost is stupid strong compared to everything else. Don't expect lots of updates for the game. In about 3-4 months, support for this will go away as they work on their quick buck for the next one. Remember what they did to tribes Quick edit because this is p...
Same boring song on loop, same boring 5 variation of mobs over and over again, massive map but only 10 enemies per room. this game is still in Beta at best.
I had originally purchased Deadzone in early access and finished it up until act 2, which was all that was available at the time. I jumped back in with the release of 1.0 and finished the game last night, playing both single player and coop at various difficulty levels throughout my time with the game. Initially, after finishing the game solo on normal, I really liked this game. It has really tight gunplay, reminding me alot of the Destiny games, with beautiful scifi graphics to boot! The release of 1.0 introduced a ton of new weapons that add more variety to each run as well. The story while not super complex, is a nice addition, especially given the genre. The real issue with this game is the end game. While higher difficulties do introduce some new enemy types, they are mostly just bullet sponges, offering no new challenges other than dumping your mag into them. Not only that, enemies at higher difficulties can also one shot you as well. Now this may seem like a skill issue, howe...
If you love roguelites but wish they would go absolutely wild with their passives, Deadzone: Rogue is your game. Most games in the genre hand you boring little stat bumps. Here, the upgrades feel like game-changers. You might unlock a power-slide that turns you into a 5000% damage missile, pick up a perk that makes hip-fire so accurate it feels like cheating, or kit out your weapons to inflict Cryo so you can freeze and shatter entire rooms of enemies. You can even recruit a trio of tiny buddy-bots that blast fiery death alongside you. Honestly, I have played full-blown ARPGs with less build variety than this. The combat feels tight and satisfying. Think “fast-paced arena shooter” but with that addictive roguelite loop where every run feels fresh. The level layouts and enemy variety keep you moving, dodging, and constantly making snap build decisions. Runs start small and end in ridiculous chaos, where the screen is full of explosions, elemental effects, and dozens of enemies tryi...
This game has so much potential, and it's all wasted. 1. You cannot play your way. You must play the game the way the developer wants you too. There's so many bad examples of this. Ranged enemies that are melee only, no weapon can break it. You go into a horde mode and are in an arena; you cannot use the whole arena because half of it becomes a damage zone only after you start the wave. Rooms that force you to use the game's terrible jump; the jump is more of a hop so bad a double jump is added, but then made a requirement so nothing is really doubled. Rooms without cover. 2. Builds do not exist. They have the potential to exist, but not possible. On the many choices you get, most of them do not have a re-roll option. As you progress more options are added, but without a good re-roll mechanic, trying to build a certain way is pure luck. Give players a way to add re-rolls to every choice. 3. Runs can be long at 20-30 rooms. Once you understand the game, you go through m...
Deadzone Rogue is a FPS with roguelite elements. You play the role a human who has been transferred into the form of an android. You're on a mission discover the cause, why, and who that caused this to you. You are locked into a ship that you desperately seek to leave, but must battle through waves of sectors and zones. The game supports co-op with up to 3 total players, adding to the frantic spaceship battle space and explosion of enemies. Super fun! Graphics: Fun and vibrant. Enemies are destroyed with a satisfying explosion of debri and powerups. Weapons look nice and a re pleasing on the eyes, looking like they can do some real damage. Sound/Music: Music is somewhat muted and takes a backseat to the excellent sound effects. This, I believe, adds to the atmosphere of being in space. Summary: For somewhat of an indie game that has come out of early access (as of 8-27-25). The developers promise more zones to battle through and enhancements. Highly recommended!
I've been following this for a while, and I should have played the demo when it was available, but it's unfortunately a case of style over substance. What looks like an engaging, fluid, and potentially deep experience is simply a pretty coating over a limp shooter with brainless AI. Gun play feels disconnected, enemies are simple variations of run in a straight line towards the player, and levels/stages are uninspired and noticeably procedurally generated. There's also things that feel like weird bolt ons to interest people on a surface level only. Like the 'stealth' phase of each stage: why is there a barrier that makes enemies in that area 'switch off' to you? That isn't 'stealth'; that's more of an odd interactive way of viewing the stage before you start it. They still route around you if you block them. They don't even care if you move barrels right in front of them. The 'mechanic' seems to exist solely so you can eliminate as many randomly placed stood doing nothin...
