About This Game

★A "death game" of the smallest scale!★

You play as the amnesiac protagonist, trapped in a mysterious house with two other captives. You quickly learn that the only way to escape is to have one of the three of you die.

Will you kill or be killed? Who is the mastermind? Is there no way for all of you to survive? The mystery deepens as you find that no matter who dies, the killing game begins anew...

★Meet your new friends (or enemies)!★

★Investigate rooms, talk to pretty girls, and make life-or-death choices!★

Inspired by popular mystery adventure game series such as Ace Attorney, Danganronpa, and Zero Escape, YAKG's gameplay offers a mix of immersive dialogue branches, point-and-click room investigations, and some mystery solving--if you can keep everyone from killing each other!

 • Explore beautiful, hand-drawn rooms of a mysterious house and uncover its eerie secrets

Was not actually hooked in the beginning, but it got much much better as I played on. Really enjoyed it. Very recommended if you're a fan of mystery VNs and death games (e.g. Danganronpa, Your Turn to Die)

Truly incredible. A fantastic use of the Visual Novel format, and in a much less tired way than a lot of others nowadays. I binged through it to get all the achievements because of how engaging the characters and story are.

Really fun game. The piling on mysteries, even if not *that* fun come in a great pace and are resolved without the game overstaying its welcome. Only two cons I've noticed is the game being quite short, and not that surprising in the later part.

Ok, the game is not worth the price imo (16.50). Nevertheless, the game is still good. Apart from quality/price ratio, I have some problems with the story:
- why the heck is there a redemption/regret arc of the professor in the true ending sequence, bro is basically a serial killer. When he got defeated, both him and Oriana made the most unrealistic conversation of the whole game. - a giant plot hole, is that the professor could have just put the soul of the protag in the dog and thrown him into the gate of hell, all at the start, rendering the whole plot bs. The "why" has been "explained" in a very lousy manner, it felt more like the developer was ackowledging the problem without solving it. - the looping mechanic is never explained, and is used as a jocker/jolly card by the developer as a way to progress the story arbitrarily. - part III was rushed, period.
TLDR: Writing is a bit off, buy the game on sale.

Yeah, this has some neat ideas. I spent more time and effort on this than I thought I would—which is not to say that I thought it'd be bad, just that it surprised me with its depth. Fans of this particular genre are difficult to surprise and difficult to impress because we're so on guard for common tropes or twists, but I think Yet Another Killing Game pulls off something unique. Who says you can't have a killing game with only three people? The ultra analyst in me still has some questions and problems with the mysteries even after I'm 100% complete with the game, but not to the point that it bothers me a lot. Overall YAKG pleasantly surprised me.
