while I don't want to dog on it since its only 5 dollarydoos, I still have several critiques. the animation and artstyle is pretty cool, but the characters dialogue is a bit too cheesy/undynamic for my liking, a lot of systems in the game go mostly unused (you use the shredder like twice, there's really no reason to touch the door aside from when it gets left open after a cutscene, no use for the weather app, parkwatch is basically useless since the game never gives you any false/fake sectors), the explanation for the report system is imo easy to misunderstand or miss, and I feel like the creatures could definitely be improved upon, especially the backstory/reasoning. I can't hate too much tho, the game is only 5 dollars, and while there are also much better 5 dollar games on steam, this one still isn't bad.

The concept and story are pretty fun, but the ending left me wanting more... maybe in the form of DLC or a sequel?

Last Report proves that pixel games can be scary if the execution is impeccable. This fairly short indie game was made by a single developer. Respect to that. This game is if "Papers, Please (2013)" met Lovecraftian horror. Sound is great which further adds to the amazing atmosphere. Gameplay leaves you paranoid like when you are alone and washing your head with soap in your eyes and you hear some sound nearby so you quick-quick wash your eyes to calm down. That's how the game makes you feel, while you deal with reports/computer that obscure the screen, you can't know what happens in the background.. Great short and cheap game that is most definitely worth checking out.

This game is generally a pretty good. But I am leaving a bad review due to plot holes and the ending is not really impacted at all by what you do in the game Specifically, It is heavily implied that Douglas is killed by some dialogue in the radio. Despite this, at the end of the game, no matter if your character heard this bit or not, you say he is alive. This, although small, was enough to break immersion. Also, The endings should probably be more diverse based on the choices you make and the secrets that you uncover. All in all, great game with a good vision, but it is ruined due to lazy writing. I hope you read this and revise the script !

Last Report is a beautifully made albeit short horror game that left me wanting more and not in a bad way! It has wonderful visuals and a story i want to see expanded in either a prequel or a sequel. For Competitionists the achievements are fairly easy to obtain once you understand the report system and can be obtained in under 3 hours. I wish the game utilized the park cameras more often as I would love to see more of the creatures and the chaos happening in the park. I can imagine seeing Douglas on the cams blowing the creatures away or maybe even seeing glimpses of the mysterious kid in a similar way to how in the Resident Evil 7 Demo Eva can be spotted in some areas like a ghostly apparition. All in All Monopixel Games did an amazing job with this and I look forward to seeing what they make next!

A nice job sim where you review reports generated from trail cam footage at a wildlife park. It is pretty straightforward as you only have to judge accuracy of the report with the image and location data, and whether it's out of date. If the report is all janky, it goes to the shredder. The next part is just properly classifying the illegal activity caught on camera. Some of the reports can be tricky, but it's not a difficult game. It doesn't get any more complicated as the game progresses like other games that introduce new mechanics and increase the difficulty. While doing all this, the story of the park unfolds through it's dark history and unsettling events that start creeping up on you. For a short game, I found it rather immersive. It gives you just enough to connect yourself to the game and with your coworkers. As you continue working, there is a nice build of suspense and eeriness--with a few jump scares that got me. Things ain't right in that park and once it started happe...

I like this game's premise, its art style and the whole idea of it. But it is incredibly short and there is pretty much no replay value, nothing you do effects anything in any meaningful way and, although the story is good, you don't really have any control over it. I'm not gonna this a negative review because it is appropriately priced and very well made, I just wish there was more to it.

I wanted to give a positive review as an encouragement - the story idea and gfx are nice - but I sadly can't. This is not a game, just a long cutscene where you must click constantly but it doesnt change anything. It also ends in about 1 hour. The sad thing that basing on existing mechanics, the producer could make a simple but a long and thrilling game. Just by adding some choices, puzzles and making the story longer. Maybe he will decide to make such game in the future but for not - it is not good enough to recommend.

A raw, unfinished product *containing gameplay*. The idea is blatantly copied from Beholder and Papers, Please, sprinkled with some Unity-made horror, but never properly developed. The ending is terrible, and there’s no real point in filling out the reports correctly during gameplay. The side quest of searching for a secret item is meaningless, since it doesn’t affect the ending. The motivation of the “Forest Gump” character is never revealed (eco-activists will approve, though). Just another typical Unity jumpscare horror.

My disappointment is palpable. The concept, visuals, and gameplay loop have some decent bones to them, but the game has no substance to properly utilize any of these aspects. I'd consider myself someone who's comfortable with paying full price for a short game, assuming the meat of the game is good or excellent. But I can't help but feel disappointed and underwhelmed - this game would've benefit so much from being a lot longer, even if it was a bit of a time wasting (it's PP inspired, let me do some boring paperwork! and give me more than one damn day!!) - so it would have more time to develop its story, and be able to string you along between scares. And yet, it does neither. I'm sure that I'm one of the more critical folks towards this game - which is fair, I can't discount how much this game has done well, and it is an impressive showing for a debut game - but I feel like the rushed pacing of the story, as well as the total disregard for expanding on the content in this game could'...
