Older game, older graphics...still some 3d diablo clone fun to be had.

To put it simply, Darkstone is a good game. For the PS1. For the PC version, there are several issues present: 1. Item pickup takes longer than most fights due to weird hitboxes. 2. The hitbox issue is present elsewhere too 3. Targeting seems way clunkier. 4. Perry doesn't serve his very important secondary function of buying your quest artifacts off of you for large sums of cash. This completely unfathomable removal of content makes early game harsher than it needs to be, unnecessarily so since you get flooded with resources later on to the point you don't really need shops except to shed unneeded gear and bank your money. I don't expect a change after all this time but good lord may whoever made THAT decision please not touch remakes again. I can't tell you how to spend your money and the core game itself was good once upon a time. This is not what I played 25 years ago, though, just looks like it.
