About This Game

In DOOMSDAY, you are a simple scientist with a simple dream - ruling the world, with the help of a giant laser cannon mounted on a spider-legged robot. Over the course of 15 levels, you'll need to defeat the pathetic fools standing between you and world domination, from teenage bullies to military commandos to forest witches to the mighty Kongclops. With your inventory of unique components and powerful artifacts, you’ll assemble the ultimate doomsday device and demolish everyone in your path.

EXCITING CARD HIJINKS

DOOMSDAY is a single-player card-slinging roguelike adventure that will feel familiar if you've ever played deck-building games like Magic: The Gathering, Slay The Spire, Balatro or Marvel Snap. You’ll find, however, that the gameplay is less dependent on combat, and more focused on synergy between your cards and artifacts as you build your superweapon from scratch again and again.

The goal of each level is to gain enough points to overcome a powerful enemy in your path. Over the course of seven turns, you’ll play cards that increase your power - crazy component cards that become pieces of your doomsday device, or surprising action cards that can make those pieces stronger. Each enemy has a unique effect that can trip you up, and you'll need to make use of tactics that are chaotic, random, some might even say "mad"...but by optimizing your deck and learning the weaknesses of your enemies, you'll find a method in the madness on your way to victory.

CRAFT THE ULTIMATE SUPERWEAPON

Between levels, you'll have the chance to add and remove cards from your deck, obtain special artifacts, or even go exploring on a side quest. You can choose from over 150 cards and 100 artifacts to make your deck more powerful….and the more you play, the more cards and artifacts you’ll unlock with rare, game-breaking abilities.

If you've never played strategy card games and find all this intimidating...don't worry, there's a tutorial mode that will walk you through the ins and outs of the game! The rules are easy to pick up, each round only takes a minute or two, and with a little math and a little luck, you'll find yourself racking up points and laying waste to cities before you know it.

As a big fan of both Balatro and Super Auto Pets this game is a cute deck builder with surprisingly easy mechanics to learn. I tried the game on easy mode and spamming the sapphire strategy (patent pending) I was able to get a W on my first attempt. I liked the character art and I'm sure if others try it out they will struggle a little more than I did (i am very good gamer) W game

Heard about this game from the High and Mighty podcast. The tutorial gave the me the impression this game would be a walk in the park but it is surprisingly challenging. I can see myself playing this frequently

I bought this game to support a fellow Poominati member. This will now be my "drink PED's and play while my wife studies at me" game. Its simple. Its as one hand, mouse only playable as it gets. The art is bright and fun. For a game made by one dude, its worth the few $$$. update- still fantastic when i want to play something lazily.

This is a fun and unique take on the roguelite deckbuilding genre. The gameplay is simple, the runs are fast and addictive, and the visual style (late-90's/early 2000's Cartoon Network vibe) and music are fantastic. It's not the most polished game, but that adds to its charm. It's a fun game from a small team and I highly recommend anyone who's into deckbuilding games try it out. Its mechanical twist (card position on a board mattering rather than just the order in which cards are played, if that makes sense) is fun and well-implemented, and there more than enough cards for surprising synergies to emerge. There are some QOL features that I think are lacking (no keyboard/controller support, no volume sliders) and the UI is has some pretty strong Newgrounds-Flash-game vibes (which works for me, but may not for others). But ultimately it's just fun and cute and I'm having a blast!
