Gorgeous call to 90's claymation and pee wee herman style graphics. To those yearning for a game that calls back to those nostalgic times look no further.

I cant say this game is bad, its not, but it suffers from balancing issues with the items. In an ideal world, there would be many many viable builds to keep the game fresh and interesting. However, a relatively small pool of items, and a great discrepancy between the power of a few of them compared to the rest makes it so you are heavily encouraged to have a seal and tardigrade build by midgame, by which point your win is a forgone conclusion. You could just choose to not play with the seals, but then the game becomes ball bustingly harder as the exponential growth you need to last in the late game becomes much harder to find with other items. Its a shame because there is so much opportunity for other item/perk synergies that could keep the game fresh past 20 hours of gameplay but my experience is that they pretty much don't exist.

Nubby's Number Factory is a wonderfully strange and quirky game that I can only describe as a roguelike pachinko game. It's a bit difficult to figure out which items and perks to mix and match for best results, but keep at it! The calm music, nostalgic graphics, and general sense of humor are more highlights. The upcoming updates are very exciting as well. PLEASE give the demo a shot if it at all looks interesting!!

The game is alright, and I enjoyed playing for a while, but suffers from a frustrating start, where you're limited in viable options to succeed, and a severe lack of diverse ways to scale into the late game. Basically the end game build is just using a bunch of asbestos and perks or items to trigger it. I wish there were other ways to go about successful runs like Balatro, but it feels like you're very funneled into a couple items which makes replaying a bit dull.
