Clicker Clicker Clicker

Got into their games from Keep On Mining (which I really enjoyed -- great sense of progress and escalation!) but each one I play from there on out just... I dunno, not so good. All their idle clicker games so far feel slow and lethargic. They're poorly balanced and tend to have features or upgrades that just don't have weight to them. Obviously a Clicker shouldn't be a roller coaster ride of constant thrills but this developer loves to lock Prestige behind either some random drops you need to get or some benchmark of time/progress, to the point that Prestige is less like a choice and more like a mandated event you can only do when they let you. And that's true here too. But mostly it just feels like after you play it for half an hour you're not moving any faster than before. And that's even if you're using an auto-clicker. [h2]Not My Favourite[/h2] [i]EagleEye Games[/i] usually makes solid idle/clicker games, but sadly, [i]Clicker Clicker Clicker[/i] is not one of them. It honestly reminds me a lot of [i]Poop Clicker[/i], with all the falling icons that grant you currency when you break them, but just, a whole lot worse... While I enjoy its simplicity, like, it's a clicker game where you click clickers. You can't get more simple than that. The main problem is progression. It starts off fine but over time, it starts to become a chore, especially with the last few achievements. All the upgrades feel uninspired and hardly make a difference unless you buy them in bulk. For the majority of the game, I felt uninvolved and that everything revolved around me leaving my autoclicker on for a couple of hours, then returning to upgrade like one thing, then repeating this process, not really keeping me engaged at all. I'm starting to become wary of games that are "like" games I've spent 4,000+ hours in and love (but end up identical to other games in my library, that I spent 60-100hrs in and never touched again) Game starts out fine, but quickly feels like it gets more "difficult" just to pad it's time, and make you feel like the couple dollars you spent buying the game was worth it. Pros: -Projectile system is pretty fun, and tacks on some interesting approaches you don't see in many games in this genre Cons: -Tier-1 ascension (the only tier, in this game) has additive upgrades, with costs that scale multiplicatively. This is fine if you've got more prestige layers, but if you don't, it very, VERY quickly makes you realize that your efforts don't have a happy ending. -Autoclicker required.
