You see these 3 creepy and interesting anomalies shown right in the first shop page trailer? This is probably the best the game has to offer. From there it's all downhill. In my 30 minutes I had runs with 5 instances back to back with absolutely no anomaly, extremely stretching my attention span and being basically boring. It's not even creepy or interesting. I gave this game a try because the trailed looked nice but if the trailer already showed me the best of the game, I can't recommend this game, as much as I appreciate any indie dev making a game. Also, Controller stick drift due to no hard coded death zone. You'll always be gliding above the floor. My recommendations to the dev to make this game better: - instead of 50/50 chance for anomalies, make it 75/25 or adjust the anomaly chance dynamically for each no-anomaly instance to keep the game interesting - also please decide what you want the game to be - scary? atmospheric? story driven? As for now, it's just boring since it l...

About This Game
In The Overseer: Field Trials, your observation, memory, and reaction skills will be put to the test. It's an atmospheric walking simulator in which you have to remember the default area setup and report whether an anomaly has occurred in subsequent loops. Report correctly several times to win, but make a mistake and your progress resets. Most anomalies are harmless reality distortions, but some entities may break through into our world—if they do, you'll need to run. Just don't forget to report in the chaos.

I think the game is solid for what ur payin'. It feature voice over work and a simple enough system to report and not to report anomalies. I spent about 30 mins in game. Didn't encounter any bugs etc. Not bad for a quick session if ur into anomaly games. Gets a thumb up. Gameplay Impressions: https://youtu.be/CsTG_QZH1OI
It’s a pretty straightforward game where you’re walking through maps and looking for changes. Some of these are subtle, like objects moving, while others have a slightly creepy vibe. It’s not very scary, but it does a good job of keeping you alert. If you enjoy games that test your attention to detail with a bit of eerie atmosphere, it’s worth a try.
It's an anomaly game. It has a cat. You can pet the cat. That should be enough reason. If you want more though... For the price point this game is way cheaper than it should be in my opinion. On the surface it's an anomaly reporting game, but behind that it has an actual story line that drives together why you're where you are and doing what you're doing. Ultimately it's a part of the Overseer universe, and while there are currently only a few maps, it has potential for possible future expansion. The game can be completed quickly if you have a much better memory than I do, but that doesn't mean you'll get to experience everything it has to offer in one run. The replay value lies in finding the anomalies you haven't seen yet, and the ability to pet the cat. Because cat is priority :D It's cheap. It's fun. Scare your friends. Scare yourself. Pick it up and try it out for yourself.
Honestly a great game, You can tell the dev actually put a lot of effort into it Actual voice acting (which sounded amazing) A LOT of anomalies to find. I look forward to 100%ing the game o7
Known experience of Exit 8 type of games in a nice package. Overall, the game is well made and provides satisfying dose of entertainment. Hunting for all anomalies can take some time, as some can be sneaky, but that's the beauty of it - you focus harder and harder, and then you get spooked by the faintest of scares. There are some jumpscares, there are some creepy moments, there are some chases - everyone should find something they (dis)like :D
Great anomaly game! It was very suspenseful without completely relying on jump scares. But still make sure you're on your toes... Good job! YT: yannamaegames for gaming gameplay
A spooky mix of horror and spot-the-difference gameplay. It’s mostly calm as you search for anomalies, with the occasional jump scare to keep you on edge. Definitely recommend. It has some pretty crazy anomalies!
A fun "find the anomaly" game!
Solid anomaly hunting game. And there is a cat. Gameplay review: https://youtu.be/fLcCxlVSihM
