About This Game

How does it play?

The islands are scattered with heavily defended bases built by a logging and mining company. It is your job, as a force of nature, to reduce those bases to rubble.

Giant, enraged, nuclear lizards aren't the most nuanced. Your fist is your paint brush and their buildings are the canvas. Or, if you want to send a long-range message, just pick up a truck and hurl it through their door.
If you're feeling hurt, catch some sheep or a stray worker and have a snack. Getting something to eat always makes you feel better.

Can I Improve Myself?

Your lizard can be upgraded in a few ways. They can be made faster, stronger, healthier, and they can even be given more effective digestion to pull more health from those tasty workers.
Upgrade points can be earned by going above and beyond the call of chaos. Making sure to wipe every trace of your enemies off the map should get you a few from each island.

Where Am I?

The whole game is set on a chain of islands in, I don't know, I guess the Pacific Ocean. As you eat and smash and grow, you can work your way across eight islands, each larger and more heavily defended than the last.

Who Am I Eating?

Your islands are being industrialized. A company had descended upon your beautiful beaches and filled them with docks and trucks. They've carved into your hills and pulled out rocks. They've cut down your wonderful trees and piled up logs. They've scared off the local sheep population. It only seems fair that they should become the replacement meal.

I am very sad to not recommend this game. I am always on the lookout for indie kaiju games but this was very disappointing. Negatives: The music loop was very annoying, there is a good music opening sting, but the actual loop is maddening. With no option to lower the volume for it, it would help if it was mixed better in game. The actual gameplay is more frustrating then fun. The destruction is very unsatisfying, with sometimes I am unable to tell if something is destroyed or not. I also often end up killing people when I try to pick them up, it is very inconsistent. It seems I cannot pickup the military guys for some reason. Often I try to very carefully destroy things as to not immediately kill the people that come out of it so I can eat them. Which does not always work and is not fun. The punching feels like it should be way faster, it was annoying to press punch only for nothing to happen. It is also just missing that fun factor and juice. For example I was so disappointed to l...

This game is the most fun I’ve ever had with any $2.39* title by a long shot. If it had come out when I was in my early twenties hanging out with friends all the time, this would already have at least a dozen hours of play among us. If you still enjoy the occasional round of Katamari Damacy and Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee, then this should strike some chord for you. It’s not either of those games and doesn’t play like them, but there’s a weird kinship among them. Also it would be great if we could either customize controls and/or remove the button to immediately exit without confirmation from the primary face buttons. *$2.39 at launch sale price, $2.99 regularly
