Tetris® Forever

It hurts me to give this one a "thumbs down" since Tetris is, after all, a legendary game and my favorite puzzle game. But ultimately I can't recommend this collection due to its price. What you receive here is primarily a standout documentary about Tetris. It contains tons of videos, ads and 3D game boxes to look at. The content is presented in a timeline format for you to explore, but also features a separate menu where you can directly select a game to play. The video documentary features a high production quality overall and goes into detail about the Tetris saga. The video documentary unfortunately mostly consists of interviews with key people from the beginnings of Tetris, mainly Henk Rogers and Alexey Pajitnov. It feels like 70% - 80% of the time, you watch these two talk. A big part of that documentary is taken up by topics like the licensing issues the two had at the beginning. Honestly, extremely boring. This is truly a wonderful gift from the creator and holders of Tetris. This is not only a collection of classic Tetris games, plus the new game "Tetris: Time Warp", but it's also a documentary of how Tetris came to be what it is today. As someone who is both a gamer and a historian, this game immediately caught my attention and I was thrilled to play and experience Tetris' history.

Tetris was my Grans favourite game, and she used to kick my butt at the game boy version every time I would sleep over. I love these games from digital eclipse. they feel like a living museum, this has really been a lot of fun
