So Anakin Skyhumper, Borgie, and myself finally beat the multiplayer mission. The 15 minutes of waiting for the chopper at the end was one of the most intense moments in a game there ever was. I was Literally tensed so much my muscals hurt in my hands and arms. I never blinked, eyes hurt so much. SO MANY DEMONS!!! we had burned over 200 bullets on the helipad, and still had to pull out the Machete to finish. That Moment when the Helicopter lands and you Press that "E" button for rescue...holy shit moment..you sit back in your chair and realize that you did it... 10/10 is my review and I want to say Thank you SO Much for the experience.

Key Features in Congo
- Work together as a team, play with up to 4 players
In Congo, it is important to work as a team to survive the dark jungle with up to 4 players online or splitscreen with local coop. Watch each others backs to stop the demons from taking yours, and share your supplies to keep everyone in fighting fit order. - Light is your friend, demons lurk in the darkness
The demons in the jungle have become used to the dark, foggy environment of the Congo jungle. The light scares them and you can use this to your advantage. There are many old buildings around, but after years of neglect, you’ll need to find some fuel to keep the lights on and make a much needed rest point. In the mean time, some flares and flashlights will keep the demons at bay for a while, just beware of what lurks behind you. Some of the demons are small and fast, be wary of these as they could knock you off your feet at any moment. Others are large and strong, make sure you don’t get hit by one of these, or it could cost you dearly. - Immerse yourself in a deep and hostile environment
The jungle is packed with many interesting places. Each map contains many hidden interesting locations that you can find if you dare venture out into the jungle. Congo makes the most of the Unreal Engine 4 to provide these locations with 6 Objective maps and 16 defense maps. - Extensive Arsenal
The jungle was heavily militarized before the demons ran over the place. As such, you can find a wide variety of different guns waiting for you to use them in your escape. There are also a variety of items to help you blow up rocks, set up improvised traps and open locked gates. - Hone your skills
Each time you play Congo, you will learn something new to help you survive more easily next time. You will also gain valuable experience that will help make your character faster at reloading, survive longer, open gates quicker and much more. As you play through the game you will gain access to a selection of items that you can start with.

User Reviews
THIS REVIEW IS EXTREMELY OLD PLEASE DONT TAKE IT AS AN ACCURATE ASSESSMENT OF THE GAME I only played about half hour so far but after a crash, performance issues, and that short time with the game these are my first impressions. If ANYTHING changes, my review will change. EVERYTHING in my review will be consistent with my time played. Pros: - Play in the setting of my favorite movie when I was a kid: Congo. - Has a horror feel to it with it's dark lighting and fog hiding the primates as they stalk you. - AI is mostly good, hit and run guerilla (hehe) tactics when the primates numbers are thin and the fog is thick, and overwhelming group charges when they are in large numbers. Cons: - Overall the game is very clunky. - The characters controls poorly, and the controls themselves feel unresponsive at times. - Gun's aim system is clunky and leaves much to be desired. - Drop a fuel tank and watch it fly like a bird you just set free. - Melee combat is clunky and the melee strikes don...
Congo: ~~~~~ It is pitch black and you are stranded in the middle of the Congolese jungle. You keep hearing noises coming from the bush and the foliage is cracking everywhere you look around. All you have going for you is a torch in one hand and a machete in the other hand! Congo is an action/survival game where you can play by yourself, but it’s primary aim to play on a co-op basis with up to 3 of your mates. You will be able to play in two type of mods; defence or objective. The defence mod currently has 8 different locations and the aim is to make sure you do not lose your radio transmitter and to stay alive as long as you can. For the objective mod, well I guess you can figure this one out. Whatever you prefer to play, you will have to explore the jungle to find additional weapons, gizmos and tools either in crates or on the ground. You will always start with your machete but crates will get you access to revolvers, machines and submachine guns, shotgun, carabines and of cou...
Uh no. Dont. The frame rates cant hold for whatever reason, the AI is terrible, which I initially forgave thinking it was still early acess. The concept is neat, it's like a 3rd person Left 4 Dead mixed with Baulder's Gate but in this form not playable.
This game rate : Graphics 7/10 Control 6/10 difficulty 6/10 Addictedness 5/10 Player anger - non Pay to win? - NO Play without friend - not good Is it worth it - YES Good co-op game if you have friends
This game changed very little from early access to full release. Don't buy it. Once you realize every strike and kill is the same and so is every enemy (Two enemies. Such variety!) there is little else to do but complete the objectives that, without satisfying gameplay, are left feeling pretty tedious. Inventory and item system is really bad. Loot crates will "pop" open and throw your stuff into unreachable areas. Travelling across the maps is very convoluted, and represents the greatest part of the games difficulty. There is virtually no story. The scary atmosphere will wear off very quickly as well. Sound seems to be centered on crackling bushes. Demons (sloths) are everywhere, so there is endless crackling from their trips in and out of the bushes. My old review stated that this game could be good in time. Time has passed, it didn't work out for this game. Don't buy this. Even if you have 3 friends to play with. Demons still look like sloths. edit : My play time is low. T...
Just read the other negative reviews, they sum it up pretty well. TL;DR, performance is poor, controls are clunky, repetitive gameplay. It was fun as a first reaction, but not as a game you buy and play with your buds now and then.
I'm voting this down just because there are literally no people online and I'm forced to play alone. Which is boring as hell. Please advertise this game more. I see I'm getting a lot of downvotes here so I'll explain more. I only got to play the single player portion of the game and from what I've played, it SUCKS. For all I know, the multiplayer portion is amazing but I don't since there are no people online. Either remove the single player or get some more people to play the game.
Fantastic 4 player coop extravaganza! 8/10. Pros: -Grue's! Popping the f*** out of nowhere! -Vast Jungle levels -Decent use of lighting -Detailed Environment -Survival Horror at it's core -Action packed -Coop Campaign Cons: -Grue's ... Basically the game has the occasional invisible Demon Monkey(s) that decide not to render properly or w.e ... Since you can't see them coming you'll just get raped randomly ... Recommendation: Shoot everywhere! Hopefully you or your team will kill it ;D -Only two mission based levels. -Trees and flora get in your camera's view -Early Access...so many Glitches and bugs @_@ -Executing the C4/Bomb explosion on the rocks can be a little frustrating. Everyone has to be in the correct area ... and not too close or else you somehow get caught in the blast.
I love this game like I love my Congonese orphans that I've had living with me for 7 years now, the game takes me back to my days living in the jungle with my mother. It really captures the essence of what it's like to live in the glorious country of the Congo.
