About This Game

Play the "Social Boss Fights"!

The story picks up after the first game ends, where Tom, Luke, and Helen escape to Mars with fake IDs, and Tanya remains on Earth to fight Nanotech, the company led by Richard Meier.

The game is told from four different points of view:

- Luke, who is on Mars with his friends but he can't stop thinking about Tanya and what she told him

- Tom, who is also on Mars, has strong unconfessed feelings for Helen, Luke's girlfriend

- Tanya, an android that decided to stay on Earth, wants to fight against Richard, but will she be able to do it alone?

- Tina, an honest police officer, has strong suspicions about Nanotech and wants to investigate them.

Each character choice will change the outcome of the story.

I like it but didn't like it. It gives the options for multiple endings like the first one but the mystery that the the first one wasn't there. Sadly wasn't enough that didn't want me to make me to keep replaying to find out more. In everything I enjoy it enough to keep going after 5 hours I would reccomend it to other people if it was on a sale.

I had such high hopes for this game after playing the first Bionic Heart the voice acting and cartoony style characters gave it quite a unique feel compared to most novel games on the market. Sadly the developer has taken a good thing smeared feces all over it like a simian at the Zoo. All the dark humor and wit seemed to be discarded in lieu of now boring mundane characters with no real depth and all their engaging qualities lost in this atrocious game. My tip to the dev: Bring back your unique cartoony style of characters and animations and also bring back your voice actors so your interactive novel isn’t as stale as the rest of the bargain bin ones advertised on steam.

The first game was better. It wasn’t a masterpiece, but surely more enjoyable than the sequel. I liked the art style (but sometimes there’s a certain lack of expressions — but that’s more like a pet peeve of mine) and BGM, they were nice. Bionic Heart 2 is way too serious and it becomes boring after some time playing. Even so, I recommend getting this game on a good sale. It has tons of different endings. So if you have some spare money, get BH2. 5/10. I personally didn’t liked this game so much, but I must admit that the multiple endings are quite an accomplishment. If developers ever make a sequel, please bring back the dark humor from the first game!

Having somewhat fond remembrances of the first Bionic Heart game (played some time ago), when I came across this sequel on sale for $10, I decided to give it a go. Unfortunately, other than the name, there's not a lot in common. The humor is mostly gone, the characters are very shallow, and the whole concept of "social boss fight" is very contrived. There is a lot of dialog amongst the various endings, but a lot of it is recycled. The art doesn't really match up with the characters. And the endings just don't give you much feeling of satisfaction. One of my primary measuring sticks for games like this is whether or not they're laid out logically enough that I can play through it sensibly without resorting to a guide (at least until most endings have been figured out). In this one, there really isn't a lot of sense to the progressions at all. When it was all said and done, I didn't find my time well spent on this offering. I'd recommend investing your money and time elsewhere.

The level of sophistication in the writing is noteworthy; parallel and intertwining plots told by four POV characters on two planets is quite a feat. Using the skip function to attain more endings, I had some trouble remembering the choices each character made that were the same or different from my already-achieved endings but it was impressive to see the cohesion of the story despite having several plot threads for each path. The more serious tone of this over the prequel was a welcome change and the 24 endings provide great variety and replay value. In addition, the new character art and social boss fights are definite improvements over the prequel.

This is the sequel to the visual novel Bionic Heart. While it continues the spirit of that game... I am not completely pleased with it. There are two plotlines, one on Earth, the other on Mars. Thing is, the one of Earth almost always ends with an act of mass murder. And the one of Mars... well, that isn't much better. Also the two characters I liked most from the first one do some of the worst acts possible. Basically, there are only two (maybe three) storylines where they end up together, and... in most cases they had to do those horrible acts... Still, it is a fun read, so it does have a lot of good points... So I guess I shall have to recommend it.

Just as with the previous game, this is a great non-romantic visual novel. The dialogue battles are tricky but unique.
