This is the first game I’ve ever worked on where I did everything on my own. I don’t know if I accomplished what I set out to do. I do know that I did what I was always going to do. I created a game of a particular time and place. Not a game in a style or spirit, but a game that might very well have actually existed long ago even though it did not. Against reason, this game contains several things both good and bad with the aim of performing at least a few miracles. May one of them steal you to that very particular place, whether you’ve been there before or not. Become frustrated and confused, so that you might persevere and be victorious.

Note to reflect the updates & reasoning for removing negative review: the game got 2 significant patches that addressed about 80% of my issues with the game, making it overall less tedious and cheap with the difficulty, and somewhat improving the sound. The only thing that still stands out to me is that enemies could use more work. I am trying to think of a good example, you know how in some NES games you have flying types that will zigzag on you, or maybe you get ganked from behind more often, it still feels like in your game 90% of the enemies are in front of you, I think you need to find a way to mix in more directional and vertical challenges, so you not feeling like you just constantly fighting toward. Maybe you could add some enemies that would jump around, or having 2 types of directorial attacks, or at least a few more enemies that come from behind in spots. I actually don't mind the ghosts that track you and those orbs that fall from the ceiling, that is the kind of 2...

I like the way this game plays, definitely challenging. Especially for me since I accidentally skipped the controller button tutorial lmao. Death is a great touch cause he doesn't just show up and snap your neck when the time hits 0, like how mario games do. If you have the determination and agility you can escape death rather easily. This game is perfect for those who want a challenge and for those who might want to try a no hit run. All in all. Git Gud!
