Resprite is a pixel art editor. You can use it to create game assets and animations. If you have used image editing software such as GIMP, PhotoShop, iDraw3, Aseprite, Pixelorama, etc., you can easily get started. In addition to the regular editing functions, Resprite has the following features:

TLDR: pretty solid pixel art software for illustration, sprite + animation, though lacking in some "essential" feature. Some learning curves but come with a good UI and its customization, though (at least in my first 5 hours using it) the UX is not good. Grabbing it on a discount would be advisable. If you're a seasoned artist, it's a pretty interesting software to played around. In the end of the day, it's just a tool.
