No real lore and to summarize it: Illusion of Choice. You feel anytime you want to decide against the narrative, its wrong and pointless. So why even give an option?

I am a great fan of Jesse's games. But I really didn't get this one. It seemed too empty and nonsensical for me. Though I appreciate the visuals and the sound design of it. They are perfect. If it was all about abstract feelings, it just doesn't hit me like other projects did.

A spooky little title with some cool art and an intriguing narrative that kind of reminded me of the Silent Hill series. You can finish the game and grab all of the optional achievements in under an hour (as my playtime shows), making Without a Dawn the perfect game to play on a rainy autumn afternoon.

While it's not much, for what it is it is very good. It's very atmospheric and aesthetically accomplished. Audio design is excellent as well.
Author should have included a CRT filter and a 4:3 aspect ratio mode though.
