About This Game

Dive into the dark depths of an abandoned hospital in The Silence, a thrilling single-player horror game. Alone and abandoned, you awaken in a gloomy corridor, surrounded by crumbling walls and an oppressive feeling of isolation. But the silence is deceptive because you are never truly alone. A sinister presence stalks you, watching your every move from the shadows.

In this intense but short horror game you will constantly feel uneasy and threatened. The darkness is omnipresent, the corridors are labyrinthine, and every room holds new horrors. The echo of your footsteps and the creature scratching on the cold ground are the only sounds that break the oppressive silence. Your heartbeat becomes the only beat that tells you that you are still alive - at least for now.

The atmosphere of "The Silence" is designed to push you to your psychological limits. The game creates a deep sense of unease as you frantically search for a way out. Your senses are overwhelmed and your fears are increased immeasurably. Every second in this hospital is a test of your nerves and sanity.

Wouldn't run smoothly unless everything was pink. Incredibly unoptomized.

The level design and atmosphere were good! The controls worked good as well. But, the AI of the monster was very... absent? I spent almost an hour running around looking for bears and only encountered the monster once. Also the FOV with the jerky flashlight made me feel motion sick, but that might just be a me thing..

I played this game in it's BETA form, and when I tell you EVERYTHING changed! It become so much more realistic, it has nice sound effects, custom monster and it isn't a game you will regret. I love it and I am looking forward to more games!

I enjoyed the feel of "The Silence," but it needs considerable refinement to become a complete game, and even then, it would still be quite short. The most disappointing aspect was the monster. I regret not having my recording software running, but I did see a brief clip of it sliding down a hallway at high speed. I'm not sure if it has animation, and there seems to be no means of avoidance other than blind luck. There are no mechanics for running away, hiding, or distracting the monster. It might not even have AI; it could be following a predetermined path through the maze, and if it encounters you, it's game over. Finding the teddy bears was also frustrating. Although that's the premise of the game, I felt more at ease when I thought the game was guiding me toward each bear. Realizing that I could spend a long time searching for a bear hidden in some corner of the map was disheartening. At one point I restarted the game because I thought a glitch had halted my progress, but I was ...

Worth the price. Unfortunately after spending around an hour to finish all objectives, when i reached the exit to escape and win my game crashed. this caused my progress to be reset. Very very confusing and easy to get lost which i'm sure is the point and adds to the scariness. the monster could def use some work, the surroundings look better than he does. Don't regret trying it out, was fun albeit frustrating.

So i'm running this on the latest Ayaneo Kun handheld; it runs normal when you optimize it in the adrenaline software (only thing weird is that when i go into the game and specifically put medium settings, the whole gamma turns red and sometimes flashes white when looking in a certain angle.) Other than that - movement and controls feel well.

Got the bad ending twice. A fun realistic horror game that takes place in an underground abaondened hospital with a dark unsettling atmosphere and a red creature always lurking around. Very fun and will try to get good ending in the future
